btw, I can think of two games where Patrick Roy played against the Red Wings, and in those two games he gave up FIFTEEN goals. He gave up 9 in one game to the Wings when they chased him out of Montreal in '95 and then in game 7 of the Western Conference Finals in 98 (I think) he gave up 6.

its hard to compare Roy and Broduer, but being a former goalie myself. i would have to say Roy for one reason. broduer came into the league when goalie equipment was improving. larger gloves, larger pads, ect..roy was making outstanding saves when the pads where almost as thin as his legs.. now thats a fuckin goalie! roy and vanbiesbrouck were always the best..they would have been the best tandem in nhl history

Roy is the best goaltender in the history of the NHL. Before Roy, goaltenders played in a completely different style. I never saw a goalies play like they do now. Roy started awhole new style of goaltending. He pretty much made it up on his own, and it's even used by goaltenders today. #33 best ever!
