I do wish people would stop saying he is stealing this and that pattern .all jazz is somilar and you bound to be influenced by all the great players Ijust think Bela is a world class player in his own right

Of course, this is a natural way of self-developing..Watrous did the same(Fontana's patterns)..Actually,everybody does it.. ''Stealing''good ideas,selecting,mixing etc. If talent is given, the result sounds cool and exciting, in my opinion. So summarising it, everyone steals, so do I... and..:)...

Right, but in needs some correction: Watrous used (before he builded his own sound) Urbie Green's things. If you recognize the patterns of Carl, Bill, Jiggs and Frank in my playing: you're right. If you recognize Bill's or John's patterns in my playing, that comes from Carl and Bill :-)

szerintem nem sok köze van ehhez Avarnak..adottság kérdése az egész..Magyarországon nagyon kevés olyan rezestanár van, aki egy rosszadottságú rezesből mondjuk ilyen szintű fúvóst tud varázsolni, mint amilyen a Béla..meg már nem azért ,de..annyit még egy hozzánemértő is tud mondani, h fújd rá a levegőt, támassz, vezesd a levegőt stb..márpedig ennél tőbbet aligha kapott Avartól,vagy bárkitől..itt tartunk mi Magyarok..ha nem vagy őstehetség, nem sok esélyed van..
