God is "A" and "Z", and when Jesus says "I am the First and the Last" He is claiming to be God, and these scriptures are the Biblical evidence of it. The only way you can deny that is to say that Jesus did not really manifiest Himself to John, and so invalidate the Book of Revelation as a book of the canon. He was in His glorified form, not any less real than when He was in His earthly ministry.

Yet if you go that Jesus is God and that is the only way to salvation, it than becomes odd that Jesus never states he is God, the only way you have the concept is to take what Jesus says out of context and cherry pick other sayings, and line them up so it appears as if he is saying that, yet if Jesus is God why did he never state I am God?

What all people could attempt to aspire too, see as God is beyond the understanding as man. The issue with the claim of Jesus divinity is one, he never states that ever. Jesus was teaching people their relation to God, he did state he is the son of God, yet he than almost always tells those around him they are children of God, or when referring to God his father he than relates God is their followers aswell, so than you ask yourself who is Jesus. He is the Son of God yet he makes it clear we are all spiritual children of God.

@randwolfray I grasp what your talking about, yes he does say it one way in one translation that looks more like the evidence your looking for, but other translations he says it slightly different, than you have you scholars who than debate if it was part of the original or if its an addition, because allot of the New Testament scholars who are christian will point out clear areas they know were added at later dates yet still part of standard translations today. If it was John it was during his finally day & he is foreseeing the future, so my original question still stands my friend, which is if the way to salvation is to believe Jesus is Divine why does Jesus not state that, you site a dream as proof.

In Paul's letter to the Corinthians he says that Jesus was seen resurrected by the twelve and 500 people. He even at one point says if you don't believe me ask the eyewitnesses. So apparently the resurrection is something that could have been verified by a lot of people within the lifetime of the apostles.

A similar issue arises within ufology. Thousands of people have provided eyewitness accounts of UFO encounters, sightings and even abductions. This in no way validates extraterrestrial existence. Asserting that a 1st century Galilean Jew of the Nazarene community bodily ascended into heaven is an even less credible claim.

Because its fact that the is no first hand accounts, you have at the best second hand writing maybe based off of first hand accounts, thats just the facts, but its clear you have copies, of copies if they do come from first hand accounts for hundreds of years. So you write the new testament out, by hand, and have a friend translate that for you who not good at english and translate it back from his lang, etc!

From who visits the baby Jesus, to who found the tomb at the resurrection, and what they found there, its simple take out your bible and read each start at the beginning of each separate one, page by page, and see the difference in each

@chestveeg So the point is, if the New Testament can not even get the facts of who found the tomb and what they found in each, how can you than claim for sure that the account of 500 to be accurate, cause just take that one part when they find the tomb and tell me who found it, and what they found, when you read the accounts side by side, cause they do not even agree about that, or take Jesus on the Cross, how long did it take him to die, and what did he say, and who was there at the cross?

@chestveeg But what you have to do, is read them side by side of the same accounts, and grasp that there is a huge difference which makes sense, when they are an account by a person who was there, decades after the fact, and than copied for a few hundred years and its like that game were you whisper a sentence in the ear of a friend and onto the next and than have the last person say what it was supposed to be, and it makes sense there are so many differences with them.

@piusvapor What you have here, is a Documentary, which does show both sides, so you have some people who clearly are just bible scholars, or historians with bible knowledge, and than you have believers, and so the believer tells it from the view of his faith with some history added to it, and you have none believers just posing it from a historical point of view...
