  • why not make it manual powered...? less parts to break, no battery drain, no scary texas chainsaw / dental nightmares...

  • @bookmarkthis

I wanted to see if I could design and build an electric sofa-bed from scratch. The answer was "Yes I could". Also I get a kick every time I operate it.

  • @SamInTheHills Welp in that sense you did a nice job. Maybe consider making it or a version to be the most eco/green/safe/sturdy as possible :) just my thoughts on "design".

  • omg what a waste of time

  • WOW

  • My ears!

  • Good idea but MUCH TOO SLOW and the weight and battery recharging is not worth the trouble IMO.

  • @shtfprepared

If the batteries were just for the sofa-bed I'd have to agree with you but they are part of the electrical system for the whole RV part of the van.

  • Manually, 8 seconds on a bad hair day!

Good idea, tho-- but quieter. :)

  • I applaude the effort, but alot of trouble for a slow bed, run 3 batts and get her cranking!!

  • Sweet, when does the mass production begin?
