Strangely enough, Maiden is counted under NWOBHM(New Wave Of Brittish Heavy Metal). But They are one of THE oldest metal bands out there, who are still going strong, and have hardly changed the line up over the years, so they are also old school heavy metal, or as i just prefer heavy metal. Not like a lot of the trash that gets pumped out now.(lol long winded answer)
