I have visited Marston Moor a number of times, and although it's a beautiful area, it has a heavy, brooding atmosphere- not surprising after the dreadful events that took place there.
The Battle of Port Hudson; 1863 in Louisiana; for MANY years people living near the battlefield hear sounds of cannon and musket. I am a Vietnam Vet; and I will be buried there with my Brothers and Sisters; in the National Cemetery.
i think boyscoutmomx5 needs to read up the history of the British wars ..It was a civil war in 1644 and nothing to do with American or Thailand. It was a political disagreement between Cromwell and King Charles 1st . IT was a CIVIL WAR! It was recorded on July 2nd 1644 after some failed skirmishes in other parts of Yorkshire.
My great - great - great- great- great- great grandfather was at that war and still being spoken about it to this day with my family!... so i don't need to read anything!!!! so be careful how YOU shoot off YOUR hip and MOUTH! My reading skills are just fine, maybe more so than you can read the Archie comic books!

wild! I heard an entire native American war path on the go outside my bedroom window years ago. I believe it was Chief Pontiac and his warriors on full speed gallop- war hoops and all. Freaked me right out.
Not quite like your war politically even! After the U.S civil war things where only a bit messed up in southern America. Afer the english civil war everything everywhere was completley messed up and unhappy until the glorious revolution about 40 years later after a black death and a destructive fire. But the U.S civil war was far more horrible in military terms. Like all wars, civil or international they where both a pointless waste of life.
Not really.. the colonial thing was a rebellion. The people who left their lands for america had given up their original land. it was only a matter of time till they wanted it all to themselves.
@boyscoutmomx5 You dont know the definition of rebellion or revolution. Heres and example of rebellion.. The confederate states. They were legally unlawful. They declared independence without authorisation from their mother nation.
As for revolution..
The american "revolution". It was not a revolution because they did not overthrow the english government and replace it with their own.
The american revolution is nothing like a civil war since barely any "americans" sided with england
@steve4123456789 I was saying to the person who said that this clip was about the American Civil War and I repied that it was the English Civil War..... No where does Thailand play into the conversation. I'm sorry you are confused.
@boyscoutmomx5 1812 wasn't about recaliming America. Why do Americans think this? We only took over your territory during the war as a strategic standpoint and for supply routes to safely get through to the army.
@grobo11 The u.s. tried to expand into Canada and were driven off our soil. Washington was burned down in retaliation for the burning of Fort York and our parliament buildings. Why do Americans lie so much? The land that we took during the war was given back at the end of the war.

@Pawnbroker00 And wouldn't the south have called it a rebellion too? Semantics.

Well it wasn't David Bowie hiding in the ditch ; he lives in New York City . Perhaps Boy George ?
