  • he acting like he scored a touchdown, nothing but a first down, he really need to calm down

  • I was at that game. Lamar was my favorite player! Awesome catch!

  • You want to put money on that, History Buff? The 2001 Canes could have abused the Huskers offensively, because even with the talent Nebraska had defensively, they didn't have the speed to cover everyone in the passing game. And let's be honest, Miami has owned Nebraska in big games, merely because Nebraska was one dimensional on O. What happens if Miami gets up in the game, you think Tommy Frazier would have been able to pass Nebraska back into the game?

  • that was sick

  • Was anything more predictable than the Cornhuskers getting trashed by Miami or Florida State on New Years Day? Six straight years, they came up empty in the Sugar or Orange Bowl, three teams against each opponent. They looked sloooooooow, like Michigan or Ohio State gasping for breath in the Rose Bowl against faster Pac Ten teams. Big, relatively slow farm kids (?) running way behind elite athletes. I never thought Osborne would figure out how to recruit to win a New Year's game.

  • @sportshistorybuff Miami's best team would have gotten smoked by the 95 Huskers.

  • @sportshistorybuff I wonder if he thinks it was all worth it though

  • I have 2 words for you Miami fans: GEORGE TEAGUE. Remember that name, you call cringe everytime you hear that name because it brings back nasty memories of when Alabama ended the U's dynasty.

  • Yeah us Canes fans remeber the 1992 sugar bowl....and I as a Canes fan will give you credit on winning the National championship in 2009.....but how bout win 5 National titles since 1983....tideatmilehigh...WTF is THAT?? where do you call home??? IM BORN AND RAISED IN MIAMI...i will cheer for the DOLPHINS...the MARLINS...the PANTHERS..the HEAT...AND MY HURRICANES for LIFE!!...keep living in Denver you wannabe!!..ITS A CANES THING..BAMA WANNA BE'S JUST DON'T UNDERSTAND

  • @canefan4lyfe STFU! Bama has won 13 championships!

  • @TideatMileHigh No doubt. Even as an ardent UM fan then and now, I still look back at that game and say "hey, the Tide just wanted it more." The only thing more impressive than dominant swagger is seeing someone step up to it. Good for the Tide.

  • @TideatMileHigh

Ever hear of a microwave dynasty? Two title visits since 2000 -- one won in dominating fashion and the other lost on one of the most controversial calls on sports history.

  • #36 Lamar Thomas is that dude! LOL Its all about the Ruthless Posse...Take your helmet off & show the haters how we do it at The U! Hate it or Love it-Its the U b*tches!

  • he wouldnt play on my team.....the play wasnt even that good ........

  • Jim Kelly in the Hall of Fame. Benie Kosar is royalty in Cleveland. And Vinny Testaverde with 46,000 passing yards and 275 TD's in 20 seasons.

    Not exactly.

  • Thank you Lamar Thomas...you provided Alabama with its biggest moment of the 1992 championship season...after being such a fucking african all year running that mouth..you single handedly lost the 1992 game with a fumble and a mugging by....you guessed it....your mate for life...GEORGE TEAGUE...god still hates you Lamar thomas

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahaha !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Because they invented SWAGGER and they dominated for a decade. IT"S ALL ABOUT THE U

  • The actual celebration took longer than the play. These guys are tainted as having negative class and why are they so proud of it?

  • its all about the u if u dont like it fuck uuuuuuu

  • What hapened to Gino Torreta? Was he even drafted? Miami and all those over-rated qbs!

  • I have a football game for n64 with him in it. He's on the Seattle Seahawks (who are in the AFC at the time)

  • 1993 Minnesota Vikings

    1994 Detroit Lions

    1995 San Francisco 49ers

    1996-1997 Seattle Seahawks

    1997 Indianapolis Colts

The other overate QBs, Bernie Kosar, Jim Kelly,Vinny Testaverde, Superbowl winner and a hall of famer. Vinny Testaverde, not to sure, set the record for the oldest QB in the NFL a year or 2 ago

    San Francisco 49ers

    Seattle Seahawks

    Indianapolis Colts

  • Can't argue with the truth when it comes to BK and JK brother, but Vinny T? He was ran out of TB on a rail. He never achieved what Kenny O'Brien or Dave Kreig achieved. And those dudes came in at a way lower price!

I say again, Steve Walsh, Gino T, Vinny T...over-rated? As much as Tony Mandrich was. Peace brother!

  • yo now that was Football. Back in the day, guys make a big play and celebrate, take their helmet off and jump around. Nowadays that's a penalty. Sad really, big plays aren't as big cuz they players can't celebrate them like they used to, and that was a lil bit of what made the memory of those plays so memorable...

  • the half jerseys lol lol thats college football i loved.

  • Eddie George...

  • lamar thomas the king of the half jerseys lol lol or the whole UW huskie squad.

  • There will NEVER be a stadium like the Orange Bowl...EVER....THE most historic stadium EVER built....wrigley field...yankee stadium..fenway..those are all great and historic stadiums in their own right....but they will never match the OB...ask anyone that has been there for a canes or Dolphins game when the whole stadium literally shook with all the people!!

  • no other stadium has had so many big games from the super bowl to the canes killing it.

  • @canefan4lyfe the OB was a great stadium but fenway fans are the defintion of crazy.

  • "U don't come into OB talkin that stuff, U get yo butt whipped!" Classic Lamar Thomas.

  • hes lucky TEAGUE wasn't there

  • that paly didn't even count anyways. GO CANES!!!

  • typo: i meant play.

  • The final score did 34-13.

  • ass that was the 92 Orange Bowl vs. Nebraska. Not the 93 Orange Bowl vs. Bama. That was the next year. This footage is from the 1991-92 season.

  • so did the one in 89' 33-25 go canes

  • haha !

  • ruins a great play by taking off his helmet and running around the fucking stadium saying "lookie me! lookie me!"... typical Thug U behavior

  • piece of shit = lamar thomas.

    don't even argue fools,

  • why ? i dont know much about him

  • sick catch

  • Great catch, but did it really warrant taking his helmet off and celebrating like they just won the national title? It wasn't even a touchdown.

  • Kharma has always come back to bite Lamar Thomas, the George Teague play in the SUGAR BOWL (a year later), and then him announcing like a moron with the MIAMI/FIU fight in 2006. (Then he got fired after that)

This is how you talk to LAMAR THOMAS now, "Can I get a Vanilla Shake with that Meal, thanks"

  • lol my thoughts exactly .. that was dumb .. they didn't score so no need to get 'that' excited

  • Why do concern yourself with "taking off a helmet". So what!!

  • Gotta love 'Bama fans..Gotta love a fanbase that worships a drunk, and plays a garbled, unintelligent ramble from said drunk before every home game. Oh, and FYI..Thanks to the degree that I'm getting from UMiami, you'll be answering my phone for the rest of your miserable lives. Try beating Auburn sometime soon, and please keep your coaches away from the strip clubs!

  • LoL..alabama..c'mon dude...yeah you guys did beat us in 92 im not denying that...but what have you done lately???...and you have nick freakin saban now..good luck with that prick...GO CANES!

  • what have u done lately??? miami HA! u thugs got nothin on the CRIMSON TIDE OF ALABAMA

  • alabama hasnt done anything in 25 years bahhahahaha

    the nerve of this guy

  • we won the title in 92 remember we beat yo buts, that's 16 years, u probably didnt know that cus u dropped out of high school just like every other 'cane

  • hmmm are you stupid a university of miami degree is worth alot more than alabamas you broke ass muthafucka....

back to your previous comment... u said what have we done lately??? we've done alot more than your program lately... NOBODY GIVES A FUCK ABOUT YOUR LEATHER HELMET CHAMPIONSHIPS!!

  • the univesity of alabama is #1 in the nation in academic all americans

  • What were the results of Alabam's efforts lately????

  • Remember the canes beat ALABAMA IN 1990 championship game 22-0

  • 1990??????? ummm no

  • Yeah, we be you guys previously before in the national title game. Talk about that.

  • We be you guy <--- Nice my man, nice!

    What national championship game?

  • That figures. He wasn't all so bad in the National championship game against Alabama when George Teague ran him down and TOOK the ball from him.

  • George Teague Roll Tide

  • Who cares about George Teague?

  • 92k fans that cheer everytime that highlight is shown in Bryant Denny Stadium

  • thats all they have to cheer about. they havent done shit since.

  • that's a hell of a catch! I can't believe some of you are 'hating' on that play, what gives?

  • haha fiu is miamis bitch, all the players at FIU were rejected by UM, so they went there, you'll never beat miami, in football or a brawl

  • These days, Miami players are taking off their helmets not in celebration, but...well, you know. Go FIU!

  • These days FIU players continue to attack kickers and place holders.

    *rolls eyes*

BTW, we F'ed yall up. lmao

  • Yeah, but it's FIU. Not the great Canes of Miami. Seems we're in the same boat lately, thought, with both our teams falling off the map. Good luck getting back to the top. Miami's a team we love to hate, and it's not good if both of us stink...

  • George Teague. That is all.

  • He looks like he won the lottery. Act like you been there before. He didnt even score on the play. I guess its all about the U.

  • Been there before? you mean the 13 yard line?

  • What a dummy LOL

He caught the ball and acts like he just got laid.....

  • yeah lol, you would've thought he just lost his virginity from the way he's celebrating there. i'm pretty sure that kinda sh** led to the no celebrating rules today. i wonder what he would've done if that had gone for a td, dropped his pants and dry humped something?

  • gino was the man

  • we had fun!

  • lol What's up LT?

Way to represent at the FSU game this past Saturday.

Go Canes and what a win!

  • Bob Devaney, Nebraska's AD, said that they played both Miami and Washington and that Washington wasn't in Miami's league. A quote straight from him.

  • Hmmm interesting , I would like to see that quote.

  • SFFOOL...i seem to remember your so called Much better UW team coming down to the OB and getting spanked 65-7 and the president of your university vowing never to play the canes again because of the embarassment... and dont forget the canes in 91' beat (at that time) #1 FSU in Tally and Penn state and Houston with david klinger at QB...c'mon Gino torretta, lamar thomas , michael barrow , jessie armstead ,horrace copeland, darrin smith No contest Canes all the way

  • Mark Brunell (as the backup), Billy Joe Hobert, Steve Emtman, Aaron Pierce, D'Marco Farr, Beno Bryant, Napelon Kaufman, Lincoln Kennedy. Hey who won in 1994 ? Who won in 2000 and screwed up your chances to play in the Orange Bowl. As mentioned that the 2001 Canes' were pretty bad ass if not the best team of this decade. UW is in shambles right now, they got screwed on that Jake Locker penalty, but not as screwed as Miami against Ohio State in 2002/2003 Fiesta Bowl.

  • Miami would have destroyed Washington in 1990 like they did in 2001. They did not want any thing to do with the U then. Just for the record, the U was in the title game that year against Nebraska, just blame DENNISE ERICSON FOR SCREWING UP THAT GAME AND OUR PROGRAM> I never did like him as a coach.

  • I don't know man, in 1991 UW was pretty good, However in 1990 I think Georgia Tech would have beaten Colorado (the most bull shit team ever to win the national championship before LSU last year) . I hope Randy Shannon pulls the Hurricanes to be a powerhouse soon, College Football needs the Canes' to be good again.

I respect the Hurricanes for what they did, I just didn't like Lamar Thomas.

  • All did nothing in the NFL. Those names do not jump out and scare anyone.

  • Kennedy had a decent pro career, as did Kaufman (who retired after 6 years of playing). Brunell had a decent career.

Um yeah Gino Torretta lit it up in the pro's (please)

Darrin Smith, Jessie Armstead were the only two good pro players on that team. I'll give the 91' Canes their credit they did win #1 Florida State but they barely beat Boston College. UW had a close match against Cal (who finished #5) which they won by 7 points. Keep on arguing with me, I will keep on keep it on!

  • At the same token the 2001 CANES team was pretty bad ass as they get!

  • Lamar Thomas was good, however he defines million dollar body with a 10 cent head. UW would have destroyed Miami if their was a BCS. 3 years later on a probation depleted team, they bitch slapped Miami to end the home game winning streak in 94'. Also the Huskies beat Nebraska in Licoln by 15. While Miami beats Nebraska 22 - 0 at home. Damm UW was just so much better!

  • I don't think so. Miami was in the Title game in 1994 against Neb. But, blame Dennis for that one. By the way, washington was too slow. Even though you had some names on that team, they all did crap in the NFL. Also, wasn't washington involved some scandle with billy joe holbert and placed on probation.

  • um just had much better players

  • Great catch...ridiculous celebration for catching a pass.
