Many thanks for this outstanding video. Watched the video, went to the store and bought the bulbs, came home and in 5 minutes had them changed. (Thankfully I do have small hands, that did help.) I changed the right bulb first and struggled a little replacing the spring, mainly because I'm terribly right handed. Left side was a piece of cake, changed in about a minute. Thanks again.

Additional suggestions:

1. Tape the clip out of the way while inserting bulb so it can't swing into the hole area while inserting the new bulb.

2. Use a piece of flexible tubing to hold the bulb adapter by the prongs and guide it into the hole. Then put your other hand in and remove the tube before reinstalling the clip.

3. Place a large soft pad on the ground underneath in case you loose your grip on the bulb and it falls through to the ground. Less likely to damage filament.

One additional suggestion: when bike was on side stand, clip kept swinging back into the opening when trying to insert new bulb. Use a piece of tape to hold the clip to the side temporarily until the new bulb is properly seated.

First bulb just went - around 45,000 miles - darn i thought these lasted forever.

Many riders find that the higher intensity after market bulbs just don't last.

Why are you burning out bulbs every six months? How many miles are you riding per year? I only have 7k on my bike. Thanks.

@skynut38 I ride about 15k miles per year. But, that's no excuse for burning out bulbs. Some Goldwings experience this problem and it is a mystery.

@skynut38 I ride about 12k per year, but still the bulbs seem to burn out quickly. It appears to be a problem on some Wings and not on others.
