I respect the courage of the defenders, but the film already appears to be propaganda with glaring historical inaccuracies.

The German forces assaulting were infantry formations with no tanks in support. There are no reports they intentionally gunned down civilians or used them as shield in the fight.

Lastly, the NKVD troops stationed in the fortress were not in any sense good. They were helping to maintain Soviet domination over territory seized from Poland in 1939, and to repress the locals.
