@TheEalessandro215 Ya Alma fue convicta por el asesinato de Víctor. No puede ser acusada dos veces por el mismo crimen. Aunque se sabe que Alma no va a matar a nadie.

@Ednaliz37 Read: Benton v. Maryland an Example..there are many situations in which double jeopardy does not apply and in her case... it wont.. the same victim, does not make it the same crime... For example, Los Angeles Police Department was charged with assaulting Rodney King in 1991 and acquitted by a jury of the Superior Court. Later officers were convicted and sentenced in Federal court for violating King's civil rights...

@TheEalessandro215 El caso que pones como ejemplo no aplica porque Rodney King fue juzgado primeramente en el aspecto criminal pero la segunda vez fue en el aspecto civil. Lo mismo le sucedió a OJ Simpson. Pero acusada criminalmente dos veces por el mismo delito no puede ser.

@TheEalessandro215 En Benton v. Maryland el Juez Thurgood Marshall escribió "It is clear that petitioner's larceny conviction cannot stand once federal double jeopardy standards are applied. Petitioner was acquitted of larceny in his first trial. Because he decided to appeal his burglary conviction, he is forced to suffer retrial on the larceny count as well."

@Ednaliz37 The case of Jack McCall - is another example... the point is.. A person cannot be convicted for the same crime twice unless he violates the law.. United States vs. Felix .... A person. can not be tried, using the exact same evidence, , for murder. ... however,a person can be tried for murder twice if there is conspiracy to commit the same crime..and its premeditation..... the Double Jeopardy Clause applies in some cases, and in some cases it does not.....
