American muscle cars have the v8 and rwd platforms on lockdown. BMW and Mercedes have been trying for years to build a v8 as powerful and efficient as an american motor, and have failed. I love american muscle, but having an awd, 3500lb, 2.0L turbo car pull .99g on the skidpad, and hit 0-60 in 4.5 seconds is VERY impressive. I love my X, has tons of potential and is actually practical as a daily driver (4 door and awd).

Yes, efficient as far as power delivery vs. engine size, not FUEL efficiency. who cares about gas? You dont buy expensive or fast cars to save money on gas. I get about the same gas mileage on my evo as my brother gets on his 06 GTO, and he has 4 more liters than i do. But i didn't buy my evo for fuel economy. I dont care if i have to spend an extra 15-20 bucks a week on gas. it's worth it. plus with new displacement on demand, american v8's actually get very competitive mpg.

mitsubishis are fuel efficient and pretty hot round the track. american cars tend to slide clumsily round corners where as japanese cars such as WRX STis and EvoXs actually drive round corners well

I only get 16mpg in town and 20mpg on the highway, about what my brother's 370whp GTO gets. it just depends on how everything is set up. WRX's and Evo's corner well because they are made for rally. Most american muscle is centered around straight line acceleration. My dad's 09 G8 GXP with the 6.2L LS3 is a beast both straight in in the corners too. sweet car. Also, the cobalt SS Turbo is the fastest, best handling fwd compact car ever made. It just depends on what the car is made to do.

I took one of these GSRs for a test drive recently as i was thinking of getting one because I like their look (although I think white is horrid choice). I have high expectations for its performance and its feel. It failed me on all levels. It felt weak it did not pin me to the seat as I expected. T

The shifter felt like it was not connected to anything it just fell from gear to gear giving me no feedback. My 05 STI had more balls than a new GSR. Unless the EVO has some sort of wimp mode like the 08 STI. If it did, the dealer made no mention of it even when I told him how unimpressed I was.
