Can someone tell me where to get the sheet music for this? I'm thinking about eventually buying a Tenor Sax, and it would be so awesome to learn this song.
I've always preferred actual instruments to MIDI/electronic imitations(though I'm sure the saxophone's real, or at least sampled from actual sax sounds), so hearing this gives me a severe incomplete feeling.
Oh well, thank God for 360 and custom soundtracks. 96 AnS2 AST all the way!
@ochitaotoko There's no sampling in this track. What you (and the rest of us) are all missing from the '96 Arranged version is the whirling organ, the opening with the fat guitar chords, and the higher pitched saxophone. It just sounds more like a genuine jam than this one, which sounds too pedestrian and session. This is just a poorly arranged version- they could have taken the arranged version from '96, stuck it in XIII and we wouldn't have a problem.
Is there anyway you can get the SP Movie song? I can't find it anywhere! I would really love to listen to it while kicking ass with Ash, Terry, and Iori
Actually, let's face it, damn right Iori's a hipster. He wears impractical, unusual clothing (knee belt, anyone?), he plays bass in a band (because guitar and vocals are too mainstream, and drummers are too inconspicuous), he hates violence despite engaging in it, and his taking on the Yasakani legacy is akin to slumming- he doesn't HAVE to, but he feels he needs to because he's insecure.
Don't worry though, just because your favorite character's a hipster, doesn't make you one.
@MelficeVKM It's called being coy. Read the last part of my post, and then read the previous comments of fans who were adamant that Iori is NOT a hipster. It's a fucking fictional game character, one that people nonetheless live vicariously through. I made a post that basically says, "sure he's a hipster, but that doesn't mean you are because you like him."
@jonoisgood oh and the hipster sub culture emerged way before SNK existed. it was in the 1950's. it originally was used to define those who were in the know about popular music trends, most commonly swing music or be-bop
y'know guys I gotta say I can tolerate 2001's music more than 2002. LOL TACO DANCE. the reason why those are the worse cause it wasn't the geniuses who came up with the composition of this track here and well...because they didn't hire me to do their music back then. then again I was 15 back in 2001.
@nothingxs the 2002 OST is generally considered to be the worst OST of the whole series. (not to insult another great system, the MD/SG)... but to quote a friend, he said that it sounds like it's a very low quality Mega drive sound to it
@AkumetsuLord i beg to differ though, the 2001 OST did have a few good tracks on it. it grew on me. but the 2002 OST(OG neo-geo version) sounds horrible. such low quality. the remixes in the 2002 UM OST were great
@DragonSlayerKyo I agree as well, 2001 did have some enjoyable ones, i don't think that the 2002 ones were bad...just low quailty, if they had arranges or was better quality you like them. Taco Dance be cool yo

@Kyoshiro5411 In Japanese characters, "Ya Ga Mi" backwards is actually "Mi Ga Ya'".
I don't know WHAT THAT MEANS.

@Gabagool Terry's way more of a hipster. He's rockin the trucker cap, denim vest and the Chuck Taylors.

@Gabagool What a strange way to look at things.
Maybe he just wears what he likes and does what he likes. If that isn't akin to what's common, then so be it.
Don't know much about him though, just thought that comment was strange. Great theme!

in the AST of 96 this song sounded almost hopeful.
now sounds like it's pissed-off and anxious.
