  • Piece of wank

  • nice illegal numberplate! silver on black plates are for cars made before 1973 ONLY

  • @RWL2011 How do you know this isn't a personal plate, and the car is pre 1973 ;)

  • because that is very clearly a 1996-1997 prefix "P" registration (personal plates cannot suggest the car is newer than it is) This late 90s Classic Mini example would be able to display e.g. "BXN 924L" as a private registration but NOT on silver-on-black plates. So he'd be better off with e.g. "JNB 597M" on black-on-yellow!

As far as the purpose of the video goes though, I've gotta say that exhaust is one of the best I've heard :-)

  • Sounds great, i got 3'' Large Bored Cat Back On My Sports Pack

  • thats a great sound

  • soonds gid

  • @lukeh1875 *good

  • sounds beautiful! good job! :)

  • love it (Y)

  • OMG fuck v8's this is the nicest sound ever u shud be proud of that mate

  • do you have trouble getting over speed bumps? Because I really want the twin DTMs but i'm not sure about the ground clearance.. :/

  • Its ok over most speed bumps but the down pipe at the front where the flexy section is tends to catch on some!.

  • @mjb32 I had a fletcher twin DTM a while back, sounded like amplified thunder :) but ground clearence was pretty poor :/ hope this helps...

  • hi can you tell me the whole setup for your exhaust/manifold etc it sounds amazing!!

  • When the video was recorded is had a maniflow LCB manifold into a CAT link pipe and then the Playmini rear silencer.

  • Could you get back on my PM please? Thanks!

  • not to do with the exhuast, but did you have a regular numberplate and put the black one on after, is it legal to do it if there are normal white and yellow plates on originally, i got an R reg cooper and the black and silver plates look well better, where did you get them aswell, cheerrs

  • Holy shit! That mini thinks it's an Aston!

  • That sounds awsum fella, that a cooper s yeah? so thats the 1275 and an lcb straight through? Hopefully mine will sound nice when i get a nice new fletcher on it :)

  • does exactly what it says on the tin

  • Is this a Play Mini exhaust?

  • Ye the rear silencer is a 3" play mini one

  • has the engine only got a stage 1 on it or any other modifications ?

    sounds absoulatly mint !

  • jonus that is sound of perfection

  • dude where can i get these one????do you have any site??minisport has it..but its too expensive....

  • I got the back box from midlands wheels. huddlesfield spares sell them aswel for about £100 i think, then its just getting a LCB manifold and no cat.

  • Ooh, that sounds good. Much better than any Honda VTEC. Gawd, I wish I could have a Mini, if only I had the money to import one..

  • taking the cat off can work and give small power gains .....but only if the engine is tuned for it ...if the exhaust system is straight through it can lead to a loss of back p reassure making the engine seem flat and loosing some torque, taking the cat off does give a very nice rauty exhaust note combined with a decent system though ;)

  • ye buy a cat replacement link pipe and just swop it back 4 the mot thats wot im guna do, duz any 1 no wefa it benefits takin the cat off? sum people rekon it dnt

  • I got my mini chipped at my local Icon Superchip dealer, and cost me £300, it wont make alot of difference unless the engine has had decent headwork for example ..stage3, cam and along with decent exhaust/inlet manifold/K+N Cone Filter etc

The main plus side of the chip is that it helps the car run smoother, as the ecu still thinks its getting standard air/fuel when its getting quite alot more.

  • The twinpoint A Series were an awful mismatch of electronics and old technology, They dont respond well to high levels of tuning unless the injection system/ecu is changed, Standard my coopersport would just touch 89mph, and dynoed at 56bhp, after blueprinting the block, headwork and cam, along 1.7:1 roller rockers and superchip ...i got 115 bhp out of the 1275 motor and 120mph, Best thing to do is save buy a mini with carbs ;) spend less money ...get similar rewards

  • hippy, where and how much, if you dont mind me asking did you get your coopersport superchiped? because i have been considering it for a while but never researched it and if it makes that much difference it sounds worth it.

  • hi mate is that a 3" exit.

Whats it like under load like going up hills is it boomy?

  • Hi. Dunno really, haven't really noticed what its like. it sounds alot different on the inside because of the intake noise aswel. But when im in a high gear at low revs its got a deep note like a v8 lol. ye its a 3"inch exit, its a play mini exhaust.

  • Sex, minis & rock n roll

  • i guarantee you lost hp with the 3 inch setup

  • no. its a was a bit sluggish of the start at first but had quite a lot more power top end. ive got a different LCB pipe now which solved that.

  • hi do you own a smart fortwo as well?

  • lol...no mate i dont

  • Ive got the same exhaust on my mini what engine are you running?

  • Its just a stock 1275cc MPI engine with a K&N air filter. Does yours sound similar?

  • no way !!! my baby got an empty DTM exhaust with (opened) k&n filter, and DONT sound like THIS !!!!

  • Weird!!...some people i have spoke to said when rover re-made them, they made inconsistent engines and some were more powerful than others, so i guess i mite have a good one. it says the top speed is meant to be 91mph but ive had mine to 110mph easily!.

  • the speedo is so out it's not funny!!!!! use gps based speedo a mate got his S reg mini seven off the speedo and round to MPH in midle of clock..... that was with a mini sport stage $ head etc on his MPI diff

  • omg!

when i finally get a mini im de-catin it :O

    bet the neighbours love it!

  • does it still pass emissions tests and the like after youve de-catted it? or dyu not know yet haha!?

  • Not sure if it passes emissions but i just put the cat back on for the MOT each year then take it off again haha

  • haha yeah i figured thats what i would do if i de-catted mine

  • dont suppose you fancy letting me know exactly what exhaust system this is and where its from?!?! i love that sound

  • Ye its from Midlands wheels. Its a playmini system, i got it from there cus it was cheaper than goin to playmini direct. Its a centre exit 3" pipe, with the cat taken out and a striaght through pipe to the manifold. hope that helps

  • Its a big improvement on your standard pipes, nice!
