I need friendship constantly and realize that I'm not spending time with Jesus. The strength of friendship really spoke to me. I have been getting upset when my friends are not as interested in communication as much as I am. I understand that somtimes I'm weak and sometimes strong. The Bible is pretty clear that salvation is only by grace and not by works (Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 6:23). At the same time though, there is a lot of truth in what you are saying. If we are truly a Christian, our life will be one that is dedicated to living for Christ (Eph. 2:10, 1 John 2:6). As Christians, we must live as Christ said to, but its a result of God's unchanging grace, not the cause of it. I so wish all us Christians, myself definitely included, knew what it meant to truly be a Christian!

I don't mean to be rude but I have to dissagree whith what you are saying. When you become a christian you desire to do the right thing and live like Jesus. John 3:16 even states that u will have eternal life but you have to be saved and genuin. If you genuinely ask christ into ur heart then u will go to heaven no matter what cause ppl mess up but by being saved you want to please God and chang the ones that don't most likly aren't saved.

Thanks, Mark. I've certainly been the needy friend as well as had needy friends come to me. The problem is always the same: not leaning on Jesus and not spending enough time with Him. This video series has truly been a blessing to me.
