Hello sir, that is really a nice groove, makes me feel like dancing on the beat...please advice whic bass to go with. Active or passive like vintage modified at this price range or little higher.
My jaguar was so shitly made. Had it since xmas, been playing it lightly no major things. Already have the electronics inside decided to delodge and have to be repaired, but just now ive relized a peice of fucking acyrlic has pealed off right by the base of the neck so yea fuck you squire last time i buy any of your shit
Hey mate, nice little peice. Ive just bought the same bass and i was thinking of changing the strings out for a set of black flat wounds to get that warm jazzy mellow sound. I noticed your strings are BLACK. Can you tell me which brand and type, gauge of dtring you are using Are they "Black Beauties" or Black nylon 88's or something else? Cheers!
P.s thanks for NOT "Schizo" slapping the shit out of ya bass guitar like everyone else on yt!
@beatlefan247 I own one. This is like no squier bass you have heard before. Trust me. The pickups are brill and if played near the neck it sounds amazing - real early led zeppelin sound
@beatlefan247 The bridge pick-up has a nice twang to it, the neck pick-up is more rounded. All points in between really. You can pick up Hofner-style Violin Bass copies, but I tried one of the originals a few years ago and really didnt like it
@beatlefan247 depends on how much you want to spend, you can probably pull an aproximation of the Ricky sound with the bridge of this, When I think Rickys I tend to think of Bruce Foxton (The Jam) - can get a pretty good "Funeral Pyre" and "Down the tube station at midnight" out of this. Or you could look for a "Rockinbetter" one of the Tokai copies which upset Rickenbaker so much, or go all out and spend a few grand on a Genuine Rick

no it's definitely there. it's a bit low and dubby, maybe a bit too much so for some pc speakers. can be heard nicely with headphones.
