Samsung q1 ftw! It's amazing how it loads up the Sims 2 faster than my tower PC! It does ok on this game after the video has played, funny how the vid with the creepy guy seems to take more out of your CPU and graphics than the game. Please treat yourself to a cheep tripod, you can pick those little bendy ones up for less than 5 bucks. Ideally you could use some screencam software but this would be far to much effort for the processor on this pint sized machine. I got a vanilla Q1 from ebay.
Sorry for such a late reply. I haven't had a chance to check youtube often lately. If I remember correctly, I didn't change much on the setting. I used the default setting and it worked for me. Keep in mind though, the loading took a long time and game was choppy from time to time. Also keep in mine that I upgraded my memory to 2 GB.
I think I was running it on the default setting, if I remember correctly. It wasn't that bad but it was lagging a little bit. I uninstalled it already because I had to do a clean installation of Windows 7 but if I reinstall the game I'll try your suggestion. Thanks.
I'm assuming you are talking about the older model of the Q1 series. I wouldn't know for sure but my guess is that it will probably run about the same, if not worse, than the newest model. On mine, it was playable but I don't think I would've enjoyed it too much due to its occasional "choppiness". None the less it was playable on mine, and with your specs, it might also run as well as mine.
ok, I installed HL2 and let me say that im surprised with the results, its playable!, everything at low, but with the size of the screen doesnt look too bad... its choppy somethimes specially on big scenarios, but indoors runs pretty smooth....Tnks for the help :) now im gonna try portal , I have no idea of the potential of the Q1 series
So far, I'm pretty happy with my Q1 performance as well. It almost feels like a big PSP and I have few emulators to play old SNES, Genesis, and nintendo games, which is perfect on Q1. I'm still going to test few more games and post videos so check back later.
I'm sorry to bother you, but have you ever tried running a Nintendo 64 emulator? If you have, how well did it run? I'm really considering buying one of these, and the N64 was my favorite old console.
Hmm, that's a good question. I have SNES and Genesis emulator and they both run very smoothly but I haven't tried N64 even though I have it. I'll try it and let you know if it works or not.
I just tested N64 on my computer and it works fine. I used project 64 and played Mario 64, Star Fox 64, Legend of Zelda - The Ocarina of Time, and Super smash Bros. and they were very smooth and playable. Just to let you know SNES emulator works perfect on this computer also. Only thing for N64 is that you might want to get a controller that works for N64 setting because I used xbox360 controller for it and it's little hard getting used to.
It has QWERTY keyboard and it's possible to play the game with it but I prefer the real keyboard and mouse. You can buy the keyboard specifically made for q1 or any usb/bluetooth keyboard that supports your OS.

What is the resolution of the game? Because to the smaller screen, low screen res. is enough, and that means you can gain more FPS.
zsoltixx93 1 year ago
@zsoltixx93 I'm pretty sure the resolution is either 1024x600 or 1024x768... I can't quite remember which one though.

Thanks. I just bought one. Can you make a video of Starcraft? Best. Game. Ever. You'll get a lot of views too.
adrienspawn 2 years ago
I shall do that next.
mystify94 2 years ago
Ok starcraft works 100% fine, no point in showing performance really. Although Team Fortress 2 and Portal should be tough.

Did you set any special settings? Every time I try and run a Source Engine game it just crashes and exits the programs >_>
I'd appreciate any help or suggestions.

No worries, I just realized that you had the Ultra Premium. I have 2gb of RAM as well but I'm on the the Premium.

Which RAM are you using? I'm good with PCs so I can get the part once I know the type of RAM.

Quick questions:
Are you running the game normally with low settings?
Try using the +dxlevel 81 command for better performance. That would also make TF2 playable.
