i hunt over there but in the turner river unit on the other side of the road aint sen eny thing big in turner river but iev seen some monsters in deep lake
my family has been going down there since the 50's and 60's all the way up to this day i just started going down there and yea ur right u hardly ever see any body down there its a good place to just get away for awhile.
Only those who have experienced the Big Cypress's peace/beauty can appreciate it, are of a "kindred spirit". Can't help but feel a closeness to GOD, it's Him at His purest. We share a understood appreciation. Want to form present day "Big Cypress Sportsman's Club" to educate others but bottom line unfortunately is the Park Service is going to do what they want. They've made a few good decisions but far too many are made without knowledge/experience. Let me know if you need help on your camp.
Excellent video but don't state the exact location again. I hunt Deep Lake too-one of the reasons we have fine bucks is that it's unknown. With this a bunch of yahoo hunters will take all the quota hunt permits and letting a bunch of deer dying(being shot/arrowed)without being harvested like is happening all over Florida. Your fine video will bring out the unsportsmen-Seen two Wildlife Officers in Deep Lake in 20 years-not good-deer count down 75%. Good luck in upcoming season/Let's keep DL good
Thanks Hard Luck. Part of why I love that place is because I never see a soul while I'm there. Part of me wants to keep it for myself, but the Big Cypress is over a half a million acres. If we want to be able to continue to hunt there, we need to promote the traditional use of those lands, that is hunting, by the public. If only a handful of people are using these lands for hunting, how easy would it be for the powers that be to take that right away? I hear you though. I'm torn sometimes.
Very nice! We have one in Bear Island Unit but haven't used it much yet. Needs some fixing up. Thanks for the comment. Hope to see you out there sometime if I haven't already.
is it drier on the wagon wheel side or the turner river side someone please let me know thank you
