  • i'm canadian and my mind is blown that there is such a thing as a bag of milk

  • What a STUPID way to package milk.

  • @PatriotAr15 I think it's awesome.

  • does eggnog come in bags too?

  • I live sf California we use to have these milks in bags they stop selling them a long time ago !

  • why cant they put the milk in Ziploc type of container

  • i live in downtown ontario... ive never bought a carton of milk in my life... we have them here but no one buys them

  • who start this? it's so unique

  • Were do u live cus I'm from Victoria in Canada and we don't have bags of milk we

Only have cartons of milk or big hard plastic

    Jugs of milk?!

  • Real convenient. What happens when you drop your "bag of milk" on the floor? I bet you're crying then...over the spillage...of your milk...milk in bags. You get back in your maple syrup-fueled Zambonis and drive all those dumb kilometers back to your bilingual super-markets for overpriced replacements. Just sneak across the border, get a real gallon in a sturdy American jug without the green hippie propaganda, breathe the true air of freedom and slink back to Canadia for your dinner of snow.

  • @SIRinLTHR Actually. There is this totally AMAZING plasic container that HOLDS the bag of milk! Eh.

  • @SIRinLTHR HAHA you make me laugh you biased American!

  • @xxMarlisaxx Not all Americans are biased I promise! haha

  • @SIRinLTHR If you drop it, you uhh... get off your lazy ass and clean it up.

  • I'm from Alberta and I have never seen milk come in bags.

  • @cherylwhoa yea bags of maily are mainly only in Ontario Manitoba and some parts of Quebec and Saskatchewan i not sure about the rest

  • @cherylwhoa we used to have bags of milk in Alberta but you probably were not born yet... maybe 25 years ago?. Plus once the carton became available we liked that better and soon the bag was no longer.

  • not all of Canada still gets their milk in bags. From what I can tell, it's mostly the Eastern provinces.

  • We are memorizing Canada's georgraphy in social studies for AP geo in high school next year.

  • I'm from southern Ontario and drinking milk from bags is just normal to me :)

  • Hahaha, "Canadian milk.... Only available in the land of awesome." Actually Corey, I went to an elementary school that has small bags of milk instead of cartons. I thought that was weird and I live in America. But I still love you Canadians.

  • Nothing wrong with our awesome milk bag :D

  • in the land of awesome xD

  • why bags? its inconvenient

  • Americans caught onto milk in bags a long time ago, which is why young Americans are unfamiliar with them.

Polyethylene is recyclable, unless you make it into a bag and put food into it. At that point it is cost prohibitive to try to clean it so that it can be recycled. In Ontario, like everywhere else, milk bags are not recycled, they go to landfills. Most of America has laws restricting non-recyclable food packaging, which is why milk is no longer sold in bags in most of America.

  • ONLY IN ONTARIO

  • @dj12120 you can get it in bags in new brunswick as well

  • this is just perverse

  • Really? All this ugliness over milk bags? Yes many people in Canada drink milk out of a bag. In many countries milk in stores isn't refrigerated. So what. And by the way, our electronics come from Japan, our led based toys from China, our holidays from the UK, our shelving units from Sweden, and vodka from Russia. It's fine you love your country - but not at the expense of others. Don't be so arrogant....and ignorant. No wonder the rest of the world thinks your a bunch of wankers.

  • not all of Canada drink milk out of bags! -__- its depends on the province i guess, cuz in British Columbia we don't drink milk in bags we drink then from cardboard cartons and plastic cartons -_-

  • canada has self esteem, i wish americans could learn something from you guys.

so many americans are like self-hating spies that think america sucks for whatever irrational reason.

  • heres a fucking damn good question do you actually SMELL the milk to drink? dumbfucks

  • holy crap!

  • i live in colombia south america, we only have milk bags :)

  • @shady4chi your a fucking retard your thinking of them as sacks you dumbfuck

  • its easier to cut the milk bag once then to keep opening the milk bottle FOOL

  • @person12327 Open milk absorbs the smell of other things and ends up smelling a bit like mutton milk. Better a lid on and not be so lazy....

  • those would be fun to throw at stuff..

  • My mom used to drink juice in bage when she grew up in Mexico, and I've had something like that before. Now I'm left to wonder what milk from a bag tastes like. I live in LA so I'm rather sad I cannot try this. =(

  • I am beyond confused right now. This video presents a whole new world- this must be how Columbus felt when he discovered new land- this has completely blown my mind.

  • OMG.

I never thought about this until I saw it in a video this morning. I still don't know what to think...

    Do you have cartons too?

  • @XxDailyDreamxX yes they have

  • fuckin sick,im not drinkin milk out of a sack

  • actually it tends to taste better from the bag (or more specifically, from the bag which is in a jug or pitcher, as others have mentioned)simply because it doesn't have that weird carton taste. Chocolate milk especially tastes better. The other thing is that the little bags will be generally cleaner as they aren't exposed directly to the store. on top of that it's cheaper to sell milk in bags, try it from a bag sometime; its definitely fresher tasting than carton milk.

  • such thing as plastic gallons which is alot better in my opinion that you can close to!!!

  • i want milk in a bag here in oahu !!

  • thats so cool!

  • its not harder to pour its sooo much easier.sides its fits ezer in fridge.u spelt cereal wrong

  • Milk in bags are in put in pitchers and you cut the 1 corner out.You then pour. How easy is that? :p

  • @person12327 its harder than opening a bottle and pouring it on your cerial

  • thats some freaky sh*t

  • I grew up on milk in a bag in Vancouver, not sure if they still offer it there though.

  • @fireinyourheartisout You take a pair of scissors or a knife and cut off one corner of the bag. Then you just put the holder in the fridge and voilà; it doesn't spill!

  • Milk in a bag is awesome its cheaper and it CAN be recycles... not that many people know of,so Americans milk in a bag pwns if you dont think so meet my middle finger.

  • does a milk bag have a spout? or do you just rip it open and pour it?

if so then how do you keep it in your fridge without it spilling?

    -Curious New Yorker

  • apparently you put it in a jug and just 'snip' a corner...according to the video 'milk in a bag, eh?'

  • @fireinyourheartisout you put it in a "milk holder" where the bag is secure and will not fall and spill...i mean i dont see how you can keep an open bag in the fridge either...

  • it's ONLY IN ONTARIO that you'll find milk in bags..

  • in russia bag milk it's a usual product.

  • Iv always grown up in ontario, bags of milk was never a big deal to me, tho,

I never knew that we were like, the only ones with bags of milk! (or something like so)

  • bag milk is the shit. period.

  • Hey there ... the Chocolate"beverage" you showed is not "chocolte milk" ... it is a product created by processors to deceive consumers into thinking they are drinking "chocolte milk" ... check out the talkingheads blog on chocolate beverage ... you should do a video on this to help consumers like yourself understand the difference and not be fooled ever again by a fake" chocolte beverage"

  • Im from Hamilton, Ontario and ive used bagged milk for my entire 35 years. I never realized other places didn't use bags as well.. personally i find the bags much more convienient, although its probably just what im accustomed to. ive never thought about the milk spoiling in the fridge in an open bag, i just cut it open and leave it that way.. tastes great to me

  • @Tombzy Open milk containers allow the milk to absorb flavours from other products like meat. Not good!

  • open bags do the same thing.

  • I find it weird that this is weird to people! Lol. I was raised on bagged milk and thought everyone was.

  • whats the point of a bag of milk

  • it saves shipping cost and is recyles extreamly well...we are eco friendly peoples :)

  • Saves packaging. A lot less packaging. Much more environmentally friendly.

  • It's Better for the eviorment, It's a lower Price, And it's just FREAKING awsome

  • umm... never seen those before... im from canada :S

  • Yes i know canadains kick ass ! :D im half canadain

  • I'm from Canada, BC more specifically. Never in all my travels in Canada have I seen bags of milk. I haven't gotten over to the east coast much, but still a sight unseen.

    Weird stuff

  • they are in ontario

  • ok im from America and i remember learning about Canada in elementry school then they said canadians drink milk from a bag. so when we got in the lunch line they replaced the carton milk with bag milk..It felt weird drinking it though.

  • ...All they taught you about Canada is that we drink milk from a bag? :/

  • No we were learning history about Canada and then my teacher juss came out saying that canada drink milk out of a bag

  • Mmmm milk.....

hehe "The land of awsome"? im glad im not the only one who appreciates our bags of glourious milk.

  • @marzabum - i think several other countries also have bags of milk, so its not just a canadian thing.

  • @svd205 really? like where? I'd like to know.

  • @marzabum ---- there has been bagged milk in isreal, colombia, poland, nicaragua and the state of wisconsin for many years.

i think canadians just use the whole "we have milk in bags, we are super awesome", as another insecure way to make themselves seem different from Americans.

  • @svd205 well then...

and we are diffrent from Americans, other than just our bags of milk! I think bagged milk is better in some ways though.... the only disadvantage is when people drink the little plastic tips that you cut off them then they choke...

  • @marzabum - lol, there is more variety within the US states than there is in canada versus usa. there are more people living in california than your entire country. that's because most of canada is unlivable, frozen and noone can live there. much of canadian culture comes from the USA, from food, clothes, music, movies,tv, technology, etc.

  • @svd205 Foute toi, aller mort dans un lac!

  • @marzabum - yay, you can speak french. i can speak english, pujabi, hindi and spanish. how proud are you of the french when knowing most of quebec wants to leave canada? canada isn't even a bilingual country, only about 10% of english canada can speak french.

  • @svd205 why are you so determined on trying to convince me my own country is so bad??? yes we have are ups and downs with the Quebecois... and I know tons of people who can speak a second language (not nessesarily French) AND YES IM FUCKING PROUD TO BE CANADIAN SO FERME TA GEULE ET VA MORT DANS UN LAC TABERNAC! now shut the fuck up and leave me to enjoy my country!

  • @marzabum - lol, its funny how you get so mad when i state facts. oh well, "enjoy" your six months of terrible weather.

  • @svd205 Quick question? How is it possible that most of Quebec wants to leave when the referendum didn't even go through? They took a vote and the majority said no. Granted, it wasn't the largest difference, but to say that most do is wrong. I frequent Québec quite a bit and I've only ever met two seperatists. Know your history before you talk.

  • @svd205 Wow no shit USA has more people than Canada...I for one am happy that we have less people here. The world is overpopulated as it is and I enjoy having more forests and freshwater lakes than any other country in the world. And I wonder where people will be emigrating when global warming takes full effect...hmm I think they will head north.

  • @svd205 Yeah because you know for a fact that Canadians are awesome. If you have nothing good to say about Canada, I suggest you just leave because your argument makes no sense. No matter how hard you want to kill all Canadians, even your own country will turn on you because America and Canada have a close relationship. So just go to McDonalds while we go to Tim Hortons. :)

  • @marzabum well then.....

  • Hahah thats so cool!

  • drinking baged milk...

STEP 1- Take out a bag and put it in a holder.

STEP 2- Vut the side and pour into a glass

Is till cant belive the US dant have this!!!

  • sooo... im from milwaukee, wi and ive heard of milk in a bag. they used to have it at my grade school... not all us americans are cool and make videos about it though... :)

  • wow this is so weird!!! How do u get the milk out without spilling it??? Im from england and this has really thrown me lol!!

  • You put it in a holder and cut one corner. Then you simply just pour it out into a glass and savour the milk from a bag.

  • hi guys sorry no offense but I live in South Africa and for the 26 years i have been on this planet we have had those in our country so i dont know why you guys are only getting them now. its wierd!

  • we've had them the same amount of time. Corey's just enlightening the world.

  • I'm going to move to Canada, just for milk bags.

  • come on over! ill greet you with a gift basket full of milk bags

  • @oxvalentineox we dont have bags of milk, he's just a dumbass

  • @TommyBShow yes , some of canada does . like ontario and quebec .

  • I want to go to the land of Awesome :[

  • Omg . I felt like dropping it soooooo much.

  • you can recycle american style milk jugs

and i got your 2%milk right here ROFL WAFFLE....

  • WEIRD

    i am intrigued

  • wow Milk in a bag, never heard of it never seen it untill now LOL i want one.....

  • I remember someone telling me they had bags of milk in grade school. But he lived in America, sounded really bizarre..they like had to stick the straw in the bag of milk. and it made a mess, and was just awful. lol.

  • lol youre dumb, we dont use straws. we have holders and we cut the corner off. LOL straws... silly boy

  • i'm dumb? call my friend's school dumb for having such awful things!

  • I wouldnt mind trying that(mmmmm chocolate moo moo milk

  • Not in BC...last time we had bagged milk it was in Alberta. I missed the bag o milk.

  • YES CANADIANS RULE THE WORLD!!!! no not rele, but we do pwn when it comes to milk

  • ...You're manic, Corey :P

    Tina xx

  • I love when he says mmmmmm........!!!!!

  • that's crazy O.o lol.. but so cool.. i want some now ..

  • rofl

    teh land of awesome xD

  • nuh uh! I remember going to elementary school in indiana and they'd serve our milk in bags ^-^ our choices were white milk, strawberry, and chocolate. But yea bags of milk are awesome!! lol

  • Ooops! I meant to write "pouring". It's still early and I'm in bed half asleep...

  • You put the bag into a milk pitcher, and then cut off a corner of the bag, allowing the milk to pour out. XD

  • Wow! Isn't that somewhat impractical?! It looks cool, but what about storage and pooring without spillage etc? Are they refills for a dispencer or something? Great vids BTW Corey. Love the new phone.

  • I lived in Louisville Ky in the 70's and Erlers dairy sold milk in bags. both 1/2 gal and gal size there was a special pitcher to put the bags into, snip the corner off and pour. They saved lots of room in the frig.

  • In some public schools in puerto rico kids get small bags of milk as a drink. To drink they just use the pointy end of a straw and poke it into the bag and enjoy. :D

  • Brazil its the same. bags o milk in land of awesome indeed

  • I Know my uncle makes milk in a farm in brasil and he puts it in a small bag like that its good

  • your milk comes in bags?????????

  • I live in Canada. I never knew Americans dont have bags of milk lol.

  • lol when i was visitin relatives in India they had bags of water and stuff. it was really cool lol

  • is the milk warm?

  • OMFG. I just saw this video again, and it looks like something they could use for breast implants! O_o

  • we used to have little bags of milk at school lunch in Florida. It had one of those pointy yellow straws taped to it- and you drank straight from the bag... .. but I have never seen that. It is pretty awesome . Does it cut back on the waste from milk containers?

  • i live on flordia and all i've seen that is similar to that is during fcat what had bags of water...

  • Crazy...milk in bags, is it used to save milk from spoiling or some difference in the production of milk? Oh well, I'll probably google it, but this is just absolutely nuts!

  • Thats?? INSANE!!

  • BAGS OF MILK!? Wow, I live in Canada, but have NEVER IN MY LIFE seen a bag of milk...

  • seriously?? .. they're in every normal grocery store!

  • Maybe it's because the bags of milk would freeze over here in winterpeg. XD

Probably not... But I don't ever really see them over here.

  • hahaha.. my friend is in winnipeg too!!! she says its really cold!!

i dunno ... in toronto they're in every store

  • Canadia, as I like to call it, is most definitely the land of awesome. I wish Canada had taken over Puerto Rico...

  • thats crazy!

  • Actually, there are certain places in America that sell milk in bags. I know for a fact there are several stores in Minnesota that do it.

Then again, Minnesota is just Canada infiltrating the U.S. You sly dogs.

  • oh my goodness...

    i'm officially amazed. :D

i freaking love you for uploading this!

    <333

  • what use is it to have your milk in bags? lol

  • ...bags? Milk in bags? Now I've seen it all.

  • thats just weird.

  • huh.....weird

  • im kinda surprised how many people didnt know about bagged milk... o.O im Canadian born and raised i and i like the bags of milk you can carry it easier then the other ways. also i didnt think you were Canadian in what province do you live??

  • ha ha the chocolate milk looks like a crap bag and how do you get the milk out of the bag without spilling it all over

  • you cut the tip of the little bag inside, and though the chocolate milk package looks bad but apprently it doesnt taste that bad (so says my sister i dont drink the stuff)

  • You put it in a milk pitcher, snip the bag and pour it into your cereal! Whoot...

I'd buy bag milk but I am lactose intolerant. joy.

    Yay for Canadian-milk efficiency!

  • yep, this confirms it; Canadians are weird

  • DUDE I FUCKIN LOVE YOU. I have some canadian friends that always told me about bagged milk lol and I never knew what it looked like. Thanks so much for the upload. funny video.

  • Robert steinman is watching this now xD

  • Okay just to point out, bagged milk is prietty cool. But on the other hand, Does it have any function? Like does it save space? I don't think so... Does it save money? I don't know... Does it do cartwheels? Well if it did i'd be buying it one way or another. Any inventors out there heed my idea! MAKE A BAG OF MILK THAT DOES CARTWHEELS I COMMAND YOU!

    And now for something differnt.

  • I have the reverse surprise!!! I come from Canada and it never occured to me that elsewhere in the world people didn't have bagged milk as an option!!!... For me it was what I grew up on...

  • I'vw never seen milk come in a bag before. OMG!!!

  • me neither

  • ... Bagged milk? O_o Goodness. Now I want to get some, just to try it.

0.1% - How is that even possible?? I agree with you, though - that's practically water. *shudder*

    But I have a question:

Wouldn't bagged milk make more of a mess when you drop it? Kind of like a water balloon exploding, I would imagine.

  • What the hell, never knew they was in bags

  • wow, i never heard that before. i wana go buy a bag of milk.. ;D

  • how can u hav 1% milk?!? wats the rest of it? u may aswell b buying coloured water!

lols, im from australia and we have big plastic bottles :D

  • oh wow lol.. never saw that before. only soda in plastic bags over there in mexico :D

  • Bags of milk, that's cool. I guess you're in bad shape if your bag gets punctured. :)

  • Well....... I now have America's reason to invade Canada.....

    *ahem*

  • Do you have to drink all the milk at once or how do you save it?

  • The bag is held in a plastic carton and you only slice one corner. When you are done pouring your milk, you just put it back in the fridge. The milk doesn't go bad even if its opened because the milk is separated into three seperate bags so each bag is finished well before it has a chance of getting old.

  • how do you pour it if it's in a bag?

  • You buy a holder thing that holds the bag and its just as easy to pour as a carton of milk. In canada we've had the bags for a while but before that it was 4L jugs lol.
