die 80er jahre waren musikalisch für mich das beste jahrzehnt !!!!!!!!!!

  • Search for Silence 4. They have a great version too :)

  • silence 4 version is better!!!!

  • Amazing song...wish I could go back in time and just stay in 88 forever. Thanks for posting this vid! :)

  • Scrubs! I love it! :D

  • i like how they rip into depeche mode at 2:53

  • "The song is like a virus"

  • @leprechaun81atx haaaaaaaaaaaaa now thats funny

  • @leprechaun81atx

lol i was just now watching that episode of scrubs and turk just said it as i read your post. i couldnt stop laughing.

  • I really like this song. I sang it at a party i went to with my brother many years ago where there was karaoke. It was a good memory. The girl who came up to the mic after i sang said "Back from her world tour..." it was nice to be complimented like that. I am really happy to have found this song/video. It was in my head but i couldn't remember who the song was by. My boyfriend told me that you can google lyrics from a song you are unsure about and it will find the song.

  • Yes,that how I was introduce to erasure was by Depeche mode...it was years ago, but yeah they are one of the music groups that did not get the respect they deserve.Kids my age in that day, made fun of them because of the gay thing. It was a different time and may years ago and we still have people posting hate.I am not gay and happily married and wish others to have the same.Life to short to make other people my business..Just be happy a.nd wish the same for others

  • I LOVE THAT SONG !!!!! ITS THE BEST SONG EVER!!!!!

  • of course there is one dislike :-/

  • @sexiazn08 Chances are they're Hyper-Religious.

  • @zvnteq7 : I think Vince Clarke the keyboardist was once in Depeche Mode - like at the beginning of the band, and then left due to "creative differences".

  • I love every single time I hear this at the club, it'll never get old, it will always mean a lot to everyone and anyone who listens to it because this is more than simple music, is a great poem made in the greatest music era: The 80s!

  • i remember listeing to this song all the time when i was going on roadtrips to my fathers place lots of fine memories :)

  • No wonder the video was never played on MTV back in the days... never knew the "gay" meaning behind it... nowadays the media would push it down our throats ad nauseam and force us to like it

  • great song! heard it in a movie several years ago and flipped out it was so good. i was at the store 2 hours later buying the cd. they are 1 of my faves now.

  • Scrubs.

  • god I was like 2 when this came out!!! lol time flies!

  • As predictable and predicted years before - the lead singer is indeed HIV positive - as is the lead singer of Frankie Goes To Hollywood - no surprise in the former and latter... great music but ridiculously cliche behavior...

  • Scrubs

  • I can't believe i never heard this song growing up in the 80's.. i was born in 77! which would of made about 11yrs old.... it took an episode scrubs for me to find this great song! he has an awsome voice!! don't think any one else could have ever pulled song off like Erasure did!!

  • Yes, they are GOOOOOOOOOOOOODDD. Love this song and the memories. Who cares their orientation.

  • Gay, straight... Who cares. This song is from the heart. And it rules.

  • Who cares if they're gay really,it's music. Elton John, Queen, these guys, etc etc.

  • I sang this at karaoke last night... It's so fun to sing. So much range. And it's soo passionate. I had my eyes closed the whole time because i was so into it. LOL

  • this song is amazing

  • 80´s were the best.

  • I mean seriously, this is surely the best pop song ever written.

  • I LOVE THIS SONG <3

  • What a classic and simple

  • Excelente música, me lembra alguem......

  • People used to say that Rod Stewart was gay. I could care less. The women love him, which makes for a "target rich environment" at his concerts. Go on play like you're a badass so as to impress all of your buddies. I'll take Erasure and women over Metallica and men anyday, and twice on Sunday.

  • I'm not gay and I like this song. Good 80's synth.

  • what a bunch of fags....but this a great song!

  • Damn! This song is like a Virus! SCRUBS <3

  • Damn! This song is such a virus!!!hate/love it!!,

  • You know what, his voice sounds a lot better live!!!!

  • I'm so in love with this song!

  • I'M SO IN LOVE WITH THIS SONG!

  • This song has such an awesome melody and beat.

  • this music is soo gay , but i still like it

  • On scrubs this is amazing!!

  • i love this song

  • @zvnteq7 I have been trying to figure this out for YEARS ! Maybe they wanted to show DM "UP"? With the success of The Innocent's album that was out the same time as MFTM from DM? Like they had a bigger "hit" or something?

  • Classic.

  • For the time it came out the production on this was flawless. I had "The Innocents" on vinyl (still have it in the parents' basement :P ) and remember hearing the sterling quality of the sound. They put lots of work into it all of their radio work and it showed because these tracks sound as clean as anything released today.

  • ........are they gay for each other?

  • @fyarosered no just the lead singer's gay.

  • does any one else think this guy looks like doctor cox from scrubs only younger version?

  • I love this song u.u

  • .. this HAS to be one of the absolute best tunes ever laid on tape. My God, do I love this song!

  • this is a GENIUS video...so seriously silly... He actually held up a piece of sole. Fantastic.

  • I like Erasure. A Little Respect is my favorite song. Dr. Wen from Scrubs got me hooked on it. I drive my Uncle Marty crazy with it.

  • I also like it when Ted the lawyer from Scrubs comes out, holds a microphone in his hand and starts singing A Little Respect. That's my favorite part of the Scrubs episode My Best Friend's Mistake.

  • I still like their music as much now as then..however the videos were very low budget!

  • I still like their music as much now as then..however the videos were very low budget!

  • Oh, wow- I have NEVER SEEN ANY OF THESE 80's videos. We were stationed at a European NATO base back then (no MTV!!!), for 7 years. I heard the songs a lot, mostly in the discoteques, lol. I've gone back in time...16 years old again

  • hahaha this song is so legit, great example of good 80's pop.

  • The ultimate earworm.

  • I have always loved this song! well written and Andy has an amazing voice!

  • Best fucking video ever. I have yet to see a music video fit the lyrics so well

  • Thanks!!! Looked all over for this!!!!

  • This video is AWFUL. Great song tho.

  • Comment removed

  • This ranks up there with the greatest recorded music ever.

  • Did u see the subliminal seperattion of Vince Clark leaving Depeche Mode at 2:52, The spraying over the DM BONG logo is pretty blunt!

  • @djbeatboypdx yeah, sour grapes from Vince I think

  • I will say it again...Andy Bell's voice can reach the heavens..one of the best singers of all time. We are so fortunate that Vince Clarke left Depeche Mode to form Erasure with Andy Bell. 2 genius bands instead of one...love Erasure and especially Andy Bell...

  • The video doesn't do justice to such a gorgeous, emotionally replete dance anthem.

  • Funny video, but I think everybody gets the message. Highly underrated great Erasure <3

  • Classic

  • I love this song... make me a little happier

  • lol the music video takes the lyrics very literally:P awesome song^^

  • I enjoyed that song, thank you for uploading it.

  • I like Erasure but this video is terrible. I mean he hangs sole from his ears people. lol

  • @THR1LLHO I know! It's TERRIBLE. But the song is ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS. That's what is so frustrating lol.

  • we muy bueno el video me encanto el unico lugar donde se escucha bien y se lo puede ver..! sigan asi

we very good video I love the only place where you can hear well and you can see it ..! continue so

  • What was with the Olympic logo?

  • @franchise325

He says the word "soul" at that moment. (Seoul)

  • @franchise325 The Olympics were in Seoul that year (1988). And "Seoul" rhymes with "soul". I know. Cheesy. But that's the history.

  • this song >>> better than you since 1988 lol! Thx for the studio audio, I am so tired of all the 'live' versions uploaded on youtube. If I wanted the live versions, I'd go to the concerts....

  • @suggestedusername This is the beauty of the internet. Someone like you can say something that makes you feel like a badass, without the inevitable ass whipping. Aren't you lucky you live in this age of technology?

  • @Fomquam HAHAHA That is EXTLY what I always say in my head when the ass wipes insult me! Its so true! They know if this were "real life" they'de get a damn good ass kicking!!!

  • 1988 was a good year some good music came out that time some good memories too

  • @suggestedusername What are you doing here then anyways...

  • @noxis93 someone sent me the link to it and said it was a different song

  • @suggestedusername

damn you deserve to be jumped and raped by a bunch of horny gay men.

  • @kittykitty0204 I'll volunteer!
