*SPOILER ALERT*

I tried to enjoy it, and for a little while, I did. Then I saw who the big bad Claw Man actually was: an old man with the usual anime god complex who doesn't realize that the giant claw he puts on his hand gruesomly kills the people he touches. This ruined the revenge aspect of the anime, which was my only reason for watching it to begin with. I've never been so dissapointed by an anime before, but I'll try to reasses my criticism by watching it again. Just to be fair.

anyone ever notice that in trigun the guy with the actual trigun dies just before the end, and in gun x sword the guy with the gun sword dies right before the end? oh and the fact that the shows are both named after the main characters friend's weapon, both insanely good shows though.

@KitchenerBombSquad i thought the title gun sword referred to both ray's and van's weapons. van has a sword that he holsters like a gun and ray has a gun that he carries like a sword

Yea,the Clawman always really happy but he also a PSYCHO! When he explains about huminity or about the 'reborn',I think he's sick tho.Talk with the expression that creep me on = .=....Van is cool! I like him when he wants to EAT.He love to put ALL kind of SAUCE into his meal XD!

Van looks like a cross between Alucard from Hellsing and Spike from Cowboy Bebop. He also acts like them depending on which of his two moods hes in: chill or KILL

The Clawman was so cool. He wasn't like most villains. He was always so happy, and never mad at anybody. And Van was just super-badass-McAwesome pants

i loved how this series opened, certain characters were shadowed out until shown in the series, then shadowed out again when they died. Plus this is a great opening tune.

Me too. I saw it on netflix on instant play. They only made 26 episodes. But it was a really good series. Van is a bad ass.

i loved this anime.. and taught the adaptive style intro which introduce the character as shilouettes at first and then filled them in after the character has been introduced is a very smart idea!!!!

The anime is suberb! I was very sceptic about anime with Mechas, but this one is briliant! Everyone should watch it. The action is great and you can learn alot from the whole anime.
