I was there. Each star sang two songs actually. Anita''s first number was Sledgehammer, Sudir's was Send In The Clown/Smile. Both were fantastic!

Each performer received an award for his/her contribution towards his/her respective country. So Sudir was the only one who went home with 2 awards - the other for Best Performance of the evening! I still love them both - Anita and Sudir - though :)

I was here! March 19, 1989. Each star performed two numbers actually. Anita's first song was Sledgehammer. Sudir's was Send In The Clown/Smile. Boney M was the guest artiste. After the show I went backstage to catch a glimpse of Anita or Sudir...to no avail. There were too many fans pushing and shoving. Thank god for the bodyguards or the stars would have been squashed!
