It might not just be a phase, though. Most of his fans have watched all his other movies, and are just as nuts about those as they are for twilight. Most of the reason for the reaction he gets compared to anyone else in the cast is that he has that "It" factor. He has the ability to easily influence people with each different role he plays. He holds his fans in the palm of his hand. Just a simple facial expression or statement determines how they respond to him. Peace, Love, Respect to All.
He knows what it means to be a celeb. He is learning that the hard way right now. I don't believe it was a conscious decision like "I am gonna go into acting, and I am gonna leave my family and friends behind for my career." It just happened. He misses his family and friends dearly. And he does still want it. He loves to act, but you can't just say that he just has to deal with it. You're right, no one is forcing him into this, and he may be making money, but it doesn't mean he's happy. Until the VMA's, I couldn't remember the last time I saw him smile. I don't think he minded at all not being at home. Because he seems like the kind of guy who wants to travel as much as possible. He did say he tried to find jobs that allowed him to travel. One or two times, he might misses London though I doubt he's homesick even after 9 months. He has some of his London friends in LA and New York, so I doubt he'll lose Tom, Marcus and Bobby as his friends. It might not just be a phase, though. Most of his fans have watched all his other movies, and are just as nuts about those as they are for twilight. Most of the reason for the reaction he gets compared to anyone else in the cast is that he has that "It" factor. He has the ability to easily influence people with each different role he plays. He holds his fans in the palm of his hand. Just a simple facial expression or statement determines how they respond to him. Peace, Love, Respect to All.

He knows what it means to be a celeb. He is learning that the hard way right now. I don't believe it was a conscious decision like "I am gonna go into acting, and I am gonna leave my family and friends behind for my career." It just happened. He misses his family and friends dearly. And he does still want it. He loves to act, but you can't just say that he just has to deal with it. He has to deal with the fame, yes, but he doesn't have to deal with psycho fans who can't control themselves.

You're right, no one is forcing him into this, and he may be making money, but it doesn't mean he's happy. Until the VMA's, I couldn't remember the last time I saw him smile. Money/fame having nothing to do with his happiness when his safety is in jeopardy. Fans are really gonna hurt him one day. He already had a run-in with a taxi because they were chasing him. Don't mistake his laid back demeanor for happiness. He doesn't need people feeling sorry for him either. Just show him some respect.

Everytime I watch this, it really reminds me that he is a person. He deserves respect just like anyone else, and he isn't getting it from people who maul him. They're the ones who don't understand just how truly terrified he is of them. People need to remember that he is human, and he doesn't like it when people grab him like that. They'll ruin it for those who respect him. He may end up going home and never working here again. Please respect his space and privacy. Peace, Love, Respect RPattz!

@rockgrl82 ..You are so right about Rob's privacy. He stated in an interview that he loved Japan and its people because they respect his privacy. No one has ever tried to grab his many visits there. He loves Japanese food....

I totally understand that it really is up to him to keep working here, but I still feel bad for him sometimes. I don't think many people really have any idea just how much he misses his home. The sadness and exhaustion have really been evident the last couple of months. I just hope he gets a chance to go home soon for some rest and family time.

again, i love how you worded this. i feel the same way. this video just goes to show he's just another kid i see everytime im going out with my mates in london. that what this reminds me of... and i actually feel thnakful that i get to have a real life away from all the craziness he must be going through. dont get me wrong, he must love what he does...but with fame and fortunes comes a price... bless him, i hope these fans can chillax soon. for his sake. :S

I feel so sorry for him. Imagine, we can see our friends when we want. Without thinking about something, only to see them. He has papparazzier in heels around the clock and I doubt that he has seen the people who matter most to him much. Have never really thought about it, we're just fans who die after seeing him, while Rob's really wild to see his family and maybe have it as he had it before, no worries. Wow, I feel with him.

Wow. I feel so bad for him he never gets to see his family or freinds, and theres so many people after him, for goodness sakes he almost got killed from a group of girls going after him. We're lucky he just got clipped from the taxi. It shows we don't care about anythin beside or own joyment to see a famous person.

i wish he was famous. but was still like able to do stuff. i mean other celebs can do things they want when they want. why can't he. it just sucks he locks himself in his hotel b/c he's tired of the paps. it's ridiculous. give the man a break. his schedule is soo busy because he planned it that way. because on movie sets is the only place where he feels he can relax. it sucks ass. and now everytime he caught he's not happy. i miss his smile. and his laughter.

Hopefully someone in Robs circle will see this, Contact Josh Grobans' management, find their "Fan Plan" this would help reign in fan craziness, give them some place to put their energy, and work toward a common goal for the good of humanity. Also need to find management that won"t feed into Summits' frenzy, Your team works for you, not the machine, make them do their job!

I don't think he minded at all not being at home. Because he seems like the kind of guy who wants to travel as much as possible. He did say he tried to find jobs that allowed him to travel. One or two times, he might misses London though I doubt he's homesick even after 9 months. He has some of his London friends in LA and New York, so I doubt he'll lose Tom, Marcus and Bobby as his friends. Quit scanning his quote as if he was this and that because clearly, none of us knows him.

@lilkittycrazie I agree. I have the impression Rob has very secure family relationships. He is well educated and confident, and, like any confident twentysomething, he wants to get out into the world and experience as much as possible. He has been give a hell of a break with landing Twilight and he appreciates that and is totally taking advantage of it. I don't think he misses living in his own in Soho anymore [he moved out the family home after getting paid for Harry Potter].

The video is good, the song and stuff, but it doesn't make sense to put pics like those London pics, it shows the rich part of London, I mean, Rob leaves (not currently, but yet) in one of the cheapest neighborhoods, I mean, he doesn't care about all the spotlights and fancy places, he's humble and simple. :)
