Yeah, this new evidense really IS pretty dang exciting! it's a possibility that aliens exist, or have been here. The stuff they bring up is valid but generally ignored by mainstream archaeology because it doesn't fit conveniently into their theories about history. I'd recommend Fingerprints of the Gods.

@ledemiurge What convinced me that something is really being overlooked in archaeology is the ruins of Tihuanaco. It has a dry dock, 12 miles from Lake Titicaca, who's waters geologists say wouldn't have been at the level of the dry dock since the ;last ice age. There's also all these extinct animals depicted in stone at the ruins as well. Not to mention, there's a bunch of sunken cities around the world that wouldn't have been on dry land since the ice age when ocean levels were much lower.

It is a tough theory, because if someone does such thing (head bounding) it will cause irreversible damage to your skull structure, massive headaches it will kill eventually. I believe those are alien skulls instead of pharaoh skulls.

i do not think it has anything to do with looking good. Science has found that the brain creates ridges and furrows. electrical synapses running through these folds in the brain accent intelligence and experience. Yeah, this new evidense really IS pretty dang exciting! The History Channel had a whole series on this subject a few months back, discussing how the skulls were brought out of Egypt for extensive, unbiased examinations by a whole panel of various scientific disciplines. All this time I had assumed the weird shape was a result of deliberate human interventions. However, the latest consensus begs to differ. I won't lie, the implications make me uncomfortable, to say the least! :o

@ledemiurge What convinced me that something is really being overlooked in archaeology is the ruins of Tihuanaco. It has a dry dock, 12 miles from Lake Titicaca, who's waters geologists say wouldn't have been at the level of the dry dock since the ;last ice age. There's also all these extinct animals depicted in stone at the ruins as well. Not to mention, there's a bunch of sunken cities around the world that wouldn't have been on dry land since the ice age when ocean levels were much lower.

Well some of these elongated skulls (and some other skulls found as well...) are missing the sagittal suture. (i.e. not of human origin) This can't be explained with "binding methods". There are more strange skulls at different museums and in some laboratories (e.g. the star child skull) which are definitely not human so...

A lot of civilizations throughout the world performed this so-called ´elongated cranium´. These civilizations never encounterd one another.. How can you explain that? I think they all must have had an example..

If you look at the bound heads of people who still practice this, you'll note that they have to be somewhat thinner in the extension. There is only so much bone matter to reshape from birth, before the plates join and fuse.
So, the main pic in this vid *seems* to show much more bone mass and may well not be an example of binding.

i do not think it has anything to do with looking good. Science has found that the brain creates ridges and furrows. electrical synapses running through these folds in the brain accent intelligence and experience. Perhaps by accident or by imitation, many people around the world do this. I doubt its for cosmetically reasons, just my thoughts though.

I have studied this over and again, if you bind some infants head it does not account for the extra amount of bone present in these skulls. It would and could also prove to be damaging to the brain. People will soon have no choice but to understand that there is more to human kind than that which we were taught. The most damage you can do to yourself is not incorporate new ideas. Growth.

@roblou62 ...Well dear, take it on the light side... maybe It was very fashionable in those old days to bind the head to be different, maybe there was some advantage in being different... in looking like the son of a foreigner.... like in some countries of dark skinned populations to be light skinned is an advantage, or to be tanned in others (to show wealth), this shows a social advantage... just maybe....who knows!

@sunshine7018c Let me say that I agree with you 100%. It is just that sometime people will insist that 2 plus 2 is 3, regardless of how many times it proves to be 4. It is just the fact that since I found that my teachers (in elementary school) said things like Christopher Columbus discover that the world was not flat, lol, and a million other things I just hope people are prepared for facts and not fables. There is so much here in the US that was taught that is not true at all. Shameful.

ur head will look like that when u start using 100% of ur brain. humans use a limited amount of the brain around only 20% if i remember right and of the 20% of their brain they use its almost all from the part of your brain called the prefrontal cortex which is by your foerhead. the rest of ur brain u dont use is the back part of it i forget the name. if u use your brain 100% then the back part will grow bigger becuase it will now be in use.thats what gives the "aliens" heads that is cone shaped
