  • Aww, he seems like such a nice and charming man.

  • Dashan's mandarin is impeccable, Accent wise, his mandarin is better than most Chinese.

  • My dad went to highschool with this guy in Nepean! ahahaha!

  • He is a household name in China

  • im chinese... i think he knows more chinese than me... QQ

  • i met dashan and i know his son

hes actually such a cool guy

  • when he speaks with another canadian he got no accent

  • @hellahotdude Um, he has a Canadian accent then!

  • lol man my two favorite Canadians on one screen xD

  • And here I though Dashan grew up a Chinese speaker. Amazing how he managed to learn to speak it so well so late in his life. Usually ya can't speak a second language so well after the age of like 9 or so.

  • WHAA Dashan can speak English? What's next, an earthquake on the US east coast?? Oh wait...

  • i love dashan, i think he must be the favourable canadian of china. lol . i was born in shanghai, but i think setting by a relationship or marriage by parents is absolutely stupid. lol

  • Canadians be proud, Dashan is one of the most respected foreign performer in China. Think of him as the reverse Jackie Chan.

  • @nioor reverse Jackie Chan hahahahahaha well said

  • You know what's funnier, people in China CAN'T WATCH THIS VIDEO. This video existing on youtube is a contradiction in itself. Famous Canadian can't even be watched in the very country he's famous!

  • @ninman58, yes he can. Just not on here =)

  • @ninman58

but we've watched him on TV, which is not bad at all xDDD

  • Those of you with skewed impressions of China, BOOOOO. It's a lovely place, and it has problems just like any other place in the world. Worry about your own country's issues. You might actually be able to make a difference where you live, rather than with derrogatory YouTube comments. You JUST DON'T KNOW ANYTHING.

Forced marriage? Never heard of it. Suicide? Yeah, all over the world.

Change will come for the things you are so arrogant to criticize. Be patient, and you'll see.

  • I love the part where he says "it's been cleaned up for the Expo", what that means is that the Chengguan came along and violently removed people selling things on the street. Funny that he didn't mention that. Dashan you are worse that Hu Jintao, ignoring human rights violations is just as bad as committing them in my opinion. You also failed to mention the forced evictions so that the CCP could build the expo park. Nice of you.

  • @followurnose, if you've studied history at all, you should know the saying "for every great monument, there is an element of barbarism." Look at every moment in history that is considered "glorious" in great detail and I guarantee you that there is a gigantic stain on it. China's events are no better, so why would you speak as though they're unique?

  • never heard of this guy. rock on dashan lmao.

  • @t1mTV go away you ignorant dumbass

  • aha ok, every time i see the sky line, one of the buildings looks like a beer opener to me X) 0:21 the building between the two gray ones.

  • HAHAHHA THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!!! in SO MANY WAYS! LOVE IT!

  • Nice of you to delete my post when I pointed out how you make fun of and totally gloss over a very serious problem in Chinese society. These people are being FORCED TO MARRY SOMEONE. You have no morals, and not only that people like Dashan are making money from it by toeing the CCP party line.

  • @ninman58 you shouldn't comment on something you know nothing about, if you've been to China, or have any knowledge about the current chinese society not the one from a hundred years ago, then you would know that these people are NOT being forced to marry, it just their parents trying to help, match-making. This is common in the Western society as well. So yes, if you don't have anything nice to say about such a light-hearted video, then SAY NOTHING AT ALL!

  • @puccaface Obviously you don't have a clue. I lived in China for over a year, and I've personally met many Chinese women who are forced to marry people. It's the reason why there's such a high suicide rate among young Chinese women.

  • @ninman58 FYI, I grew up in China, and I've never met any Chinese women who were forced to marry anybody, and you say there's a high suicide rate among young Chinese women, where's your stat to support it?? Cant just make stuff up alright?

  • @ninman58 that'll be the result of pushover parents rather than societal problem, maybe you were just simply around a really depressing crowd. and get this, suicide RATE in China is way lower than many other places and you might have mistaken number for rate. CCP supposingly have nothing to do with it, not to say that it is in anyway good or anything, but this is a societal issue not a political one, and younger people are better off now since younger parents tend to be less pushy

  • You can almost hear a Chinese accent when he speaks English. I guess he doesn't get much use out of English and he has to think about how to say things again.

  • Awesomee! Funny thing is, it looks like if they changed their grips a little, it would be a Kimura, so he wasn't so far off in the wrestling comment XD

  • wow.. that guy speaks perfect chinese. almost as good as mine... all right.. better than me -.-'

  • Nice

  • Haha cool. It's so weird seeing a Canadian I don't know who is super famous in China....!

  • @LaurenAnyone He used to be in a educational TV show teaching people how to speak mando

  • That was a fun vid! I went to Shanghai a few years ago...loved it!

  • @QofLife69 messed up because of? I mean don't get me wrong, most people date and find a partner in life on their own, but these are probably done by parents whose children can't.........and so called forced marriage, not really that severe, mostly parents just introduce them, whether they end up together is arbitrary, and you think this is messed up? Japan has the same kinda practice

  • @despairedboy I think the idea of this facebook type of forced marriage is messed up.

That's only in my view because I'm Canadian, but I'm just not used to their culture.
