  • would this have been the new field goal record? hard to say since it wasn't you know..the traditional FG

  • That was pretty close!

  • That would be 66 yards.

  • @themetalchef

    Your nephew is a faggot

  • 66 yards pretty good

  • My Nephewis the USC kickerand has made both a 69 and 70.. I just uploaded them. He made them this morning Dec 23, 2011. Check it out on my page.. Granted they are not rushed but still the pressure is determined by the ability of the kicker to block out all other than the focus on the kick..

  • If he had made it would it have been put in the record books as a 'field goal' or would it have been the free kick goal, as a separate, rarer category?

  • Did you see the arrow go into his knee the moment he kicked the ball?

  • Only two words to describe this effort... "GOOD GOD!!!!!"

  • what brand of pinapple was this recorded with?

  • Oh my gosh. What a kick. They said that was INTO the wind. Seriously wowed by this.

Bravo, defending Super Bowl champion and still undefeated over 17 games without trailing in the 4th quarter, Mason Crosby.

  • But he was going against the wind so I think he could have mad

  • didn't hold lassies out

  • I met the guy and he is a total gentlemen. pretty great golfer as well!

  • only if it was 67

  • man, he was just short

  • Don't worry Mason, I failed at my attempt at 69 too.

  • why is this set-up like a kickoff? hes kicking a feildgoal... im confused

  • @MegaBostonredsox because its a fair catch free kick

  • Only if it was A 68 yarder he would of made history

  • go pack!

  • Poor hold by Flynn cost him

  • Free Kick? I think he was confusing himself with Wayne Rooney

  • Fake its fake we all know that

  • wow....this is a kickoff not a field goal

  • @ReddNationn when one team punts and the receiving team fair catches the ball, that team has the option of kicking a free-kick field goal. this means that the receiving team can attempt a field goal with no defenders trying to block it. the other team can, as with any field goal attempt, try to return it, which is why this looks like a kick-off. the whole thing happens very rarely, which is why this video is so popular.

  • @largelouie oh ok! thanks i have never seen that in football!

  • @ReddNationn No, it isn't. Learn 2 football.

  • @ReddNationn its a free kick which means that its a field goal that the defense cannot defend, but they can return if they catch it.

  • he is about one-half of a yard short, that far from history

  • Hehehehe...69

  • @kcfights lol i was expecting someone to say that

  • @Iskusmarines I can't belive I was the first to say it..

  • Helluva lot better than Neil Racker's 68 yard free kick attempt

  • @NoPancakeMixxx LOL No saying much is it :-p

  • As the half is about to expire the punt return or a kick off return team can fair catch and if there is still time for one play you can choose to kick a free kick. It also depends on where you fair catch it. If you make it, it counts for 3. You can also drop kick it but nobody does that. this has an advantage because there is nobody trying to block it and the kicker has a running start. This is a very rare instance. Easy way to pick up 3 pts if you have a coach to call it and a kicker to make

  • @ladawg81 it doesnt matter how much time is left in the game. it can even be attempted if time has run out during the fair catch. the only requirement is that it has to come right after a fair catch

  • ya cause its hella easy to kick it straight, but on a angle its a little bit harder

  • but he cant make a 30 yarder on an angle

  • the guy isnt bad hes just not very accurate

  • @TheGuitarman1099 you're fucking dumb

  • @Pontini26 lmao!!! Yeah he is dumb....... he's prbly an immature 10 year old trolling utube!

  • the wind probably pushed that out

  • seriously, why do people upload something shot on a phone or jazz cam? The sound and look is horrible.

  • Holy shit he drilled that. 0.o

  • who cares kickers dont matter

  • @dutton65 lmao ask tom brady if he would have won his first superbowl with a bad kicker, uhmm NO

  • that was stupid who with me i hate it lol!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Wind was a factor that hurt him

  • @MegaActionpacked he just sucked mason crosby is weak

  • @Krumbdiddly mason crosby will kick the record in this or next season you just watch

  • u cant blame him for missing that....he was just short......too bad the dist wasnt a bit shorter

  • @theshingles100 mason crosby is weak he could only make it from the 1 yrd line?

  • @Krumbdiddly lol yea total weakling

  • @theshingles100 ya if it was a 64 yarder he would have the record

  • greenandyellow green and yellow

  • @leleleetness Nooooo its all about the Cowboys man packers sucks dick!!!!!!!!!

  • @Krumbdiddly packers killed the cowboys this season and what else o ya won the super bowl so don't hate the team hate the coaches

  • @Krumbdiddly green and yellow XD

  • He didnt even get as close as neil

  • @rudyjr06 he got closer neil didnt even get hang time mason did

  • @dboot90 who u callin a mutha fucka

  • @Krumbdiddly first of all i didnt call anyone a mutha fucka but now i did , 2nd of all get a life dont ask meh questions that take 5 secsz of my life to read

  • Someone making a free kick and setting the distance record should have an asterisk. It's a different situation when you have 6 foot 5+ defenders jumping up and trying to block the kick. The kicker has to adjust for it. Plus he doesn't get as big a running start.

  • @Hampsey83 cool, thanks

  • wut do u get a free kick 4?

  • @dgbillybobjoe93 if you fair catch the ball on a punt you can chose to kick from that spot

  • @tonip420 thnx

  • @dgbillybobjoe93 ur an idiot

  • @timjseg shut up. apparently unlike u, i don't sit around reading NFL rulebooks all day long. GET A LIFE, MUTHA FUCKA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @timjseg who r u callin a idot bitch?

  • @Krumbdiddly Wow look at this dumb fuck respondin to a comment 112 years later boi gtf out of here nigger

  • Dude mason is horrible?? No way he's not used much but the man is automatic even at upward of 40 yard it seems like.

  • hahaha 69 yards :)

  • he missed it and it was a magic number

  • Mason is horrible and I'm a pack fan but he's so vad

  • @RichardRickRicky No he's not.. lol

  • @RichardRickRicky ur retarded. hes amazng, and im a giants fan so i really dont care!!!!!!!!!

  • Mason's a BEAST!

  • Go Pack Go

  • That was awesome, wish he woulda made it.

Everyone search on here: CHUCK TACK 67 YARD FIELD GOAL. Made it with room to spare.

  • darn!! love him!!! cant believe he got beat 4 kicker job by david akers in pro bowl!! almost made it!!!

  • Get two reliable FG kickers, build a strong defense and a decent offense. Do free kicks when you can, and kick FGs as soon as you're within field goal range. I think you'd win a lot of games in the NFL that way because it's not very easy to defend against getting into FG range. And defenses that try will give up more touchdowns because the TD red zone would be around mid-field.

  • if he wasnt kicking into the wind that was as good as in

  • @TurkWith2Legs

Basically, because he was SO far away, the didn't need to have lots of people on the line as per usual, trying to stuff the kick. Instead they were trying to stop the FG fake for first down attempt by keeping players backfield to stop the long pass. Also, must've been late in the game otherwise I don't see why the didn't punt...so yeah, lots of people in the backfield and stop a 60 yard TD, no need to stop a 70 yard FG attempt as it's so hard.

  • @tammckie28 wrong, i was at that game, they got a free play since Will Blackmon fair catched a punt when there was no time left on the game clock in the 2nd quarter, thats the rule, they couldve bombed it iwht a pass or field goal it, understand? ts sorta hard to explain

  • @gumbee4life

No, I got it...it's just such an unusual situation that the more LIKELY series of events was what I described...and as I didn't know the situation, I went with the most likely.

  • @tammckie28 No, they're far away from the line because the rule is that the other team has to be at least 10 yards downfield from the kick.

  • free kicks happen hardly ever. last I remember is Neil Rackers. We have a tutorial video on this @kickingworld videos

  • It's a fair catch kick. Most football fans don't even know this is allowed lol.

  • can somebody tell me what the hell is going on in this video. i am so confused.

  • @laxmania3 Sure.

On a punt, if the returning team chooses to call a fair catch, they can kick a field goal from that spot. This is a different type of field goal, much different from the normal 3 point, or point after field goal. In this case, it's called a fair-catch kick. The ball is not snapped to the holder, it is simple held in place by the holder. The kicker can take all the time he needs to prepare for it, and the other team can't attempt to block it. That's the best I can explain it.

  • @washington95

    thanks i get it now

i looked it up too u did a good job explaining

  • @laxmania3 Mason Crosby almost nailed a kick through the middle of the uprights from 69 yards. Most field goal kickers will not even be called in to attempt if the distance is 45+yards, because those kicks are considered difficult(and truthfully ARE difficult). it would have been an amazing accomplishment for an NFL kicker.

The difference between this and a standard field goal is he did not have a bunch of defenders to possibly deflect it and there was really no pressure on kicking it.

  • @SabbraCadabra

    ok....?!?!?!!?!!!!!111!!!!?!?!

  • @SabbraCadabra

what happened i've never seen this before. why were the guys not guarding? i dont get it

  • @SabbraCadabra What NFL kickers aren't put out for 45 yd fgs? Come on man, you have to be able to kick at least 50 to be on an NFL team, get real... o and btw I'm a packers fan

  • @queeda130 Kicking 50 yards is easy...

    ...Without wind...

    ....Or snow....

    ...Or rain....

    ...Or shitty turf conditions...

    ...Or pressure...

Though you seem to be the resident expert on this. I guess we should all just take your word for it.

  • from 68 its good...

  • that had to suck.

  • lol 69

  • he missed

  • ted thompson will blame i on matt flynn

  • packers winning the superbowl in overtime on this play would be the 2nd happiest moment in my entire life

  • hes gonna break the record if he goes for a 64 yarder

  • why did he get a free kick...?

  • @bballplayer9744 i believe the rule is when u have possesion of the ball and no time left or someshit like that u have a chance to do it, its just noone can do it... well apparently crosby could he kicked it into wind now if there wasnt... he'd be the first in 40 years to do it

  • @packers718 If you make a fair catch on a punt, you have the option of trying a free kick.

  • @packers718 Actually, the rule is that if the punt returner calls for a fair catch, you can do a Free Kick from the spot that the fair catch was called. It's very uncommon because very rarely do you get a spot close enough for a field goal after a punt, and even less than that do you see a good spot and hardly any time left on the clock.

  • this isnt a field goal?

  • @mr0flirt yes it is look up fair catch kick on wikipedia

  • @mr0flirt yes it is...it isn't a scrimmage kick field goal, but a free kick field goal. After a fair catch or an awarded fair catch the team may elect to either try a free kick (which they can score a field goal for 3 points on, unlike a free kick after score) with the receiving team 10 yards from the point of the Fair catch or awarded fair catch. Just like a kick off, the only difference a field goal may be scored.

  • Against the freakin' wind!!!!

  • video camera taping tv... get with technology grandma!!

  • hell

  • listen closley it said into the wind just imagine with the wind

  • I was at that game

  • just missed

  • lol 69

  • he's a crosby. it runs in the blood. (i hope you know who sidney crosby..)

  • Ha I'm a pretty big Packers fan, but even I was like "No fuckin way Crosby."

I don't think even Mason Crosby thought Mason Crosby could make this.

  • if he was kicking with the wind he would of gotten it

  • It's a free kick, not a kickoff.

  • closer than neil rackers xD

  • hardest leg in the game

  • thats a kickoff he took to amny steps for a field goal

  • If he made that he would of got 69

  • ryan shankwell?

  • Ah man, nice try Mason! That was like 2 yards short.

  • Cold weather into the wind and maybe a foot short.

  • Go Packers!

  • ALMOST!

  • I was at that game it looked like at first it was going in,he hit it dead center,i wished to god he would have made it

  • @kristinldm No. This is a free kick. It would have counted as a regular field goal, because of rules about run off time, or something to that effect.

  • the rule is, that if a fair catch is called on a punt, the team may attempt a free kick for a fg attempt. no matter how much time is on the clock-even if time ran out in the half-the kick may be attemted

  • um who lost in the playoffs this year um the packers dur!!!!!!

  • @TheCabani30 ...and the colts, and the vikings, and the cardinals, and the cowboys, and the chargers and the jets, and the giants, and the patriots, and the ravens, and the bengals.....11 teams lose in the playoffs every year...with your reasoning in that STUPID statement, the Rams are better than all these teams...at least they didnt lose in the playoffs!

  • @TheCabani30 um who one the super bowl the pakers dur

  • um who's in the playoffs this year um the packers!!!!!!!!!!!! dur

  • not any more :(

  • the packers would be better off holding open tryouts to anyone on the street... i though ryan longwell was bad but this guy just flat out sucks... he misses like every 20 yd to 45 yd field goal and those are easy... its what you are getting paid for so make the damn field goals

  • Dude... Ryan Longwell was amazing, he's the all time leading point scorer for the Packers. He was very consistent.

Crosby was lights out the past few years but this year he terrible, I doubt he's coming back. There's no point in holding open tryouts with 2 games left in the season.

  • @iLittleFoot IS HE BACK NOW >.<

  • @iLittleFoot IS HE BACK NOW >.< LONGWELL AINT THAT GOOD

  • @iLittleFoot even though you commented a year ago, but he is having a great year in 2010- 2011

  • @iLittleFoot ryan longwell plays for the vikings

  • @iLittleFoot Remind me whos going to the super bowl!!??? BIACH!

  • @iLittleFoot I can see that worked out

  • @iLittleFoot longwell was a pussy he didnt want to kick in outdoors and always complained about the wind at lambeau

  • no ryan longwell sucked ass and yea he was the leading scorer cuz every time they score he gets an extra point try and when they dont score he gets to attempt a field goal

  • howd you like his 52 yarder today?

  • @SRPerkins16 thats exactly what i was saying he cant make anything from 45 and closer but he just happens to make anything beyond that.... and he is gonna make some field goals but all in all he totally sucks ass

  • no. hes not that bad. he just needs to work on it. put it this way. hes no shawn suisham which means he isnt bad.

  • @WrestlingGiant i dont even know who shawn suisham is soo i dont get this... i asssuming he really sucks though

  • yea. he was the kicker for the redskins this season. he missed a 23 yarder on the left hash. he is now with the cowboys.

  • Yeah but so did Folk, so they both suck.

  • @FancyGapClawhammer good point

  • yea he was looking rough as hell

  • He miised¨

  • Rediculous. He's missed PLENTY of FG's this season, and still is signed. Thanks for making us lose vs LAST YEARS SUPERBOWL CHAMPS! God DAMN the Packers would've looked good.

  • yeah i knw....right wen i found out that we lost the first thing i did was look if he had missed a field goal or 2 and sure enough he did.....

  • @StayOffTheSauce

Yeah, thanks Crosby, for letting Pittsburgh pick up the win.

Still, teh Steelers are just better

  • @ Michaelius95 the Steelers are better? They scored 6 points against the Browns and they lost to the Bears. They had a very lucky win, Ben played amazing, but were lucky with botched fieldgoals and flag happy refs.

  • @iLittleFoot

And who's 6 time super bowl champ and defending champs?

    Right, the Steelers

  • @ Michaelius

Obviously I was talking about this year and this year the Packers are the better team. Just look at the numbers. Before the game they had the #1 defense even with 2 possible probowlers out, Aaron Kampman and Al harris. I believe their over all offense was ranked 6th.

  • @iLittleFoot yeah, I admitt a 5 loss streak isn't great at all, with the packers with 5 wins in a row.

  • did you record with toothbrush?
