I would only say that the lead vocal is often lost among the backing (due to lack of mics? mixing?). Perhaps some nice students from AV department could help out? :)

You definitely deserve to record using decent external mic(s) (the one on here clips and distorts) and maybe even someone (other than a choir member) to turn recording on and off? :P
