  • eurasian leprosy bear likes this discussion

  • its february 2012 and the stones have not announced any shows for this 50th year...

i love keef but he went way over the line the way he slagged off mick in his book "life"...

i dont mind...i am pumped for the new Van Halen cd which sounds brilliant and the tour

  • @StayFrosty5150 Van Halen are fun but can't match the Stones legend. Too bad Keith ran his mouth. RIP Stones.

  • well. when you got the sun, the eath and The moon and the RST, what else do you need?

  • keith...um artista...e muito bom....mick...canta e puxa o publico...grande front-man....porem nao tem arte. keith tem. e isso. se voce nao for ignorante....entende.

  • this interviewer is terrible. i can't believe rolling stone sent this idiot.

  • @dannyd1572 anthony is a great reporter...bald and all. i was at this show 1 st row in nyc

  • Brian Jones!!!!

  • Dead flowers on the table

  • What an interesting dude. I wish I could have seen them, or see them if they ever tour again. I had chance on the Steel Wheels tour in Indy, but it was sold out and street price for a decent seat was over $400. That was bottom end, and the better seats were going for $1200 or more. Same with the Pink Floyd this year. Wish I had the extra dough.

  • @sixstringfretter OR they were just cheaper - so people apart from bankers could afford it

  • Fantastic autobiographia Keitha Richardsa - "Life"

  • Interesting, he says, 'you don't want everything to be rote..that is the antithesis of rock-'n-roll" and I remember hearing Johny Ramone always saying the opposite, something like (my words) 'You have to be a tight disciplined unit, no one just walking around freely, doing there own thing, everything had to mechanical, even walking out on stage, plugging in and posing, all like the marines" and yet the Ramones are R-'n-roll too.

  • @mistersmith6000 who's the bigger band though? and more widely listened to? i mean you can make a case for the Ramones but the The Stones epitomize rock n' roll.

  • disgustin old fart

  • he looks like a purple wrinkled prune

  • It would be difficult to over state what the Rolling Stones -- and particularly Keith -- mean to Rock and Roll.

  • Love the mascara, Keith.

  • So no one cares that it basically says nipple in the corner?

  • everybody must get STONED!!!!

  • whats keith use Depends or Serenity i heard hes got a paid flunkie to wipe his ass

  • mick is a fucking posh prick.... keith is a tramp!!!

  • I wonder if the "dead flowers" on the table were there to make Keef look relatively young and vibrant.

  • @inmanmark i was at this event 1st row and i still [ not really ] kick myself after the show for not running onto the stage to grab those flowers and keith water glass. noone went up there

  • the bitter ramblings of a senile junkie desperate for media attention

  • That's news to me..... Richards wrote the lyrics to "Midnight Rambler"???

Don't believe a fuck... He was the Riff "Ubergrupenfuhrer"....without a doubt.

  • @PAULLONDEN -after listening again i do believe he said he wrote the song. nothing was stated about the lyric. imo those two knuckle heads were the best damn thing to happen to each other. peace unto you.

  • @humanity6fl9 'Wrote the song"...entails music & Lyrics...in my drunken stupor...anywayz....it's Jogger who actualy "writes" a song. Richards jams till the cows come home, and some riffs will stick to tape ;If he calls that "writing a song"...long may he write. ☠

  • @PAULLONDEN He did write some finished songs without Jagger's involvement: Ruby Tuesday, Angie (Jagger only produced the string arrangement), You got the silver, a few songs on his solo albums, ... ;)

  • He's like "how the fuck did he come up with those questions i mean i play he sings thats it. lead singer syndrome my ass.now i gotta talk some deep shit"

  • I like him though I think the Stones are a lousy band and Jagger is an even worse singer

  • my life goal is now to sing the midnight rambler like jagger does.

  • Mick Jagger is an awful singer, it's seems like back in the 60s and 70s they would give anyone a record deal

  • @SuperGoodeyesniper You are an idiot. Just below Elvis and James Brown, sits Mick Jaqger. The greatest frontman of any rock n roll band ever.

  • I waited outside this event for tickets, but they left empty seats for people who didnt even show. Gave up. Saw Patrick Stewart on Broadway instead. Fuck it.

  • without your monkeyfans from 2011

    lead singer disorder

  • For me Keith is not just "a stone" he is "The Stone"

  • @terrenalmx Nah you missed four other people.

  • @terrenalmx NO, THe STone IS "BRYAN JONES", dude

  • @vialudovicosette I clear said "for me".

  • @terrenalmx And for ME Brian is not just "a stone" he IS "The Stone" lol

  • @vialudovicosette good for you.

  • @terrenalmx I,m with you dude its his band he started the ledgend!

  • still the best!!!!

  • Looks like he drank a glass of awesome juice

  • well well well mr sparrow we meet again

  • Imagine if either of them were out of the rolling stones equation.......they had to stay together like the yin and yang

  • @mrdmm0999 Indeed...Look the way he said how he wrote Midnight Ramblers for Mick...There is a strange twisted affection in there.

  • @mrdmm0999 They each have been out of the rolling stone thing.

  • A lot of words could describe Keith. My favorite...songwriter.

  • that keiths really good lookin, probably that model hes married to couldnt keep her eyes off his handsomeness

  • @flakbac .When 68 years old you reach, look as good you will not.....mmmm?

  • Jagger would have been a stockbroker without this guy here.

  • keith so rocks

i was at this show 1st row

great book...i look forward to the second

    good on keith.......go keith

  • Midnight Rambler......Live!!!!

  • keith and the stones are the best band in the world.

  • @nonfictionone yea okay!

  • @nonfictionone - I seem to remember John talking about Billy Preston as a member of the Beatles. And aren't al bands hitting the big time overrated..?

  • midnight rambler rules!!!

  • @sixsixseveneight like you want to suck them? Weird!

  • His words are clearer than the words of most of world leaders who cannot put a simpe sentence together.

  • @emilzd. your commentary is very intelligent, keep it up !

  • Keith is it no one else compares

  • Greatness in combination with humility =HERO

  • Is there really going to be a new tour??? Can`t wait for it if that is true!!! I`ve only seen the Stones live 2 times, in 1998 (Bridges to Babylon) and... was it in 2007 (Bigger Bang)? Both times in Helsinki and I`d love to see them for the 3rd time. Keith is my hero. Has been since 1995 (I was 13 then). His voice is so sexy (not to mention the man himself!!!).

  • I love it when they roll. I really do and they have rolled more than any other band I have seen. I love that roll

  • [ALL hippies are philosophers. Here comes the necessary poverty, that will degenerate into penury, in the name of saving mother Earth...Let us be thankful that the high doses of radiation in the atmosphere from Japan's China syndrome cures cancer. Remember: radiation cures cancer. I shall now, through the miracles that radiation provides, cure every metabolic malady known to allopathy.]

  • Keith is the gandalf of music

  • Keith is such a cute old man <3 I love his voice even though it's quite raspy haha

  • @mespasticpunk There's no Goodbye Tour. They are not coming to an end. They have said they will never call any tour a goodbye tour. They have repeated said this. Stones forever!

  • so modest...

  • so true...

  • i wonder what the makers of reefer madness would say if they seen this...

  • Keith was a beautiful young man and now he's a beautiful old man. Kudos to him. As for the interviewer, he looks exactly like the type of guy Rolling Stone would send out to do this - the kind that lays awake WISHING he was half as cool as the Rolling Stones EVER in his life, but has to be content with just basking in their aura.

  • He has worn kohl eyeliner for decades friends. Are you all just now noticing?

  • This interviewer is terrible. I can't believe Rolling Stone would send such a person.

  • @dannyd1572 .......... if only they would have contacted you first !!!!! i agree

  • @plutoplatters Yea. I spent twenty years doing this. You can tell this guy is ill prepared, doesn't act interested, has no chemistry with his subject and lacks engagement in conversation. Rookie.

  • His hat rules!

  • He leaves the house wearing kohl??? OMG, I love him even more, if that's at all possible. And...children, there's a huge difference between eyeliner and kohl. Anyone who's spent as much time in Morocco as Keith gets a free lifetime pass on kohl.

  • KEITH RICHARDS IS THE MAN, GOOD ON HIM!

  • what on earth is a 127 and a half year old man doing wearing eyeliner?!

  • @pistolpete198069 A man that takes a boing 777 to work and just don't give a fuck!

  • @JayAre555 I dont care if he takes a rocketship to work every morning has a 1000 billion dollars. Lets strip this down to what it really is. He's a senior male wearing make up..

  • @pistolpete198069 nice , youre a punk little BITCH!

  • @pistolpete198069 uhhh he's keith richards.

  • ha,.. had to hear midnight rambler after this...

  • Is he wearing eye mascara?

  • @chjohnst ...yes, he picked up a few things from Elvis, just like Alice Cooper

  • @chjohnst

    He has for 40 years!

  • you guys should do 'the king and I' on broadway. (call it bullocks on broadwhey)

  • This video is the length of pi.

  • Happy birthday, Keith!

Give the man a break - he's lived hard and survived. I don't care what he looks like, I'm just glad he's still around.

  • @Stonesygirl You sir r so right! I hope Keith never dies, but then again...Rock and Roll never dies!

  • @thiesjaarsma music never dies!

  • @Stonesygirl dokladnie to chodzilo mi po glowie, tylko nie potrafilem tego napisac po angielsku ;D

  • @Stonesygirl true

  • @Stonesygirl Lived hard? I don't think so. Maybe in his teens. But not after he became famous. I mean, he spent a fortune on drugs! He sure had tons of money out of his success. I'm not trying to undermine the guy, I respect his contribution to music and I consider him a guitarist with a distinctive style.

  • @Capillus lived hard, as in he's toured for like 50 years and has partied harder than you could in 10 lifetimes

  • @Capillus that's what 'living hard' means in that context.

  • @Stonesygirl i think at the end of my life,i'd like to be worn out ant ready to give it up.this is because i've done it all and am spent.

  • jueeeeeez, eyeliner??!!!!!

  • happy birthday keith richards,

    67 and still looking good

  • @thisissway Looking good? He looks like a zombie! Or skeletor or something.

  • @haydukethor people seem to forget he's almost 70 years old. i don't see a terrible looking man at all, i see full out character! i've seen 50 year old men who have lived quiet lives and look worse than keith!

  • @haydukethor Keef looks damn good...Consider his wild life the past 4 decades, he looks incredible.

  • Sorry but holy fuck he looks like shit

  • Comment removed

  • @22710001110101 if i live a life half as interesting as his i hope i look worse

  • @calumsmith2 Ambitious!

  • I wonder if Keith and Mick know the CIA/BUSH SR assassinated JOHN LENNON, if you don't either, watch DEAD JFK explain it all with laughs, youtube: Coincedence or Conspiracy Theatre: John Lennon's Murder

  • Drugs and Booze, children.

  • Wow... The older KR gets the more he looks like a Muppet.

  • "Fora TV... The World is Sinking"...

  • I can't believe this guy still sells tickets to rock shows

  • we can rock, and occasionally, we can roll.. and thts when i like it.... <3

  • Eye liner?!!!

  • He's drinking...water.
