This should be a lesson to us all. When unbelievers talk bad about islam we should have patience and not stoop down to their level. We must be compassionate and kind like Muhammed (PBUH). He truely is a great example of everyone to follow.

Imagine if everyone thought what you did was right, think of some things youve done.

yeah, this is an absolute fabrication. there arevery false translations as well that change entire meanings of Islamic verses, Arabic to any other language translation is not liek english to germa nor such, Arabic is a special srt of language because single words can mean entire senttences, and one word can have many meanings, so westerners have tried before many times to distort the Qur'an to keep their people in darkness. in Islam, only an Arabic Qur'an is considered an authentic Qur'an.
I doubt it, if you ask me, the fact that a word can have so many meanings means that those following islam can change the meaning of a verse to fit the modern theory. Its not that its accurate, its that it is vague and disengeneous.

The moral is: We should concern ourselves with we do- take the beam out of our own eye first; least we attempt to remove a splinter from our neighbors eye. One should walk in faith as an example to others and not involve ourselves in matters that we have no understanding of.

On what basis should we trust a person (and what s/he says)? As for Jews, a messiah should come and they can trust him; and Christians believe that Jesus is the Messiah. Is there some criteria like this for muslims? Travelling around the world, I have seen very nice people belonging to different religions; hence my question.

dileep363, Jews did not accept preaching of Prophet Jesus (messiah) as they did not accept the preaching of many other prophet before Jesus.
Muslims blv that Jesus was a prophet from God and that he was messiah. Jesus was not God as he himself NEVER said that he was God and never asked people to worshim me. Islam came to complete other Godly religions i.e. Christianity, Judaism. One proof of islam completing other religions ban on alcohol that is causing lots of cancer and deaths.
