  • Wow! I love this little guy! He's so cute!

  • beautiful!

  • Eine ganz andere Kultur. Sehr schön gemacht!

  • Can you do wider screen shots so we can see how you load the brush, too?

  • wow, it's beautiful!

    i love it :)

  • do you use ink, acrylic, or watercolor? beautiful work!

  • @ibanut sumi-e is the traditional japanese painting style so it would be ink. Ink is also a very asian way of doing it, and it will appear in both east asian and indian paintings too, though the styles are quite different

  • @Pawnbroker00 cool story chumlee

  • beautiful.....

  • no eraser : I one mistake ...

  • so that is typically japanese?

  • Love it.

  • The House Sparrow is one of my favourite birds. Sadly, they seem to have declined in numbers in London UK of late. Nobody really knows why. Great painting Kazu

  • @liquidplastic62 global warming+polution *COUGH*

  • i once raised an injured baby Sparrow. her name was 'sweety'. cutenesity.

  • What a joy to watch this bird's image come to life through your painting!

  • so lovely^^

  • Is there a good book you could recommend on sumi-e painting?

  • Can you tell me what kind of brush that is? Is that a regular Bamboo brush? I'm practicing Sumi-e and I'm just a beginner. Every time I do a stroke the end of the stroke has water or is smudged but all of your strokes come out clean. Do you know what I could be doing wrong? I use regular bamboo brush. Maybe it's the brush? Or maybe how much water I have on it?

  • hi, I guess that you put water too much in brush. Other parts than the head of the sparrow(the first drawing part), I squeeze the water out of the brush before drawing.

  • Kazu San!

Be able to rest my eyes and mind for a few minutes trough your work, in between emergency meetings, right now, in the midlle of this Flod mess that is crashing our state apart (Santa Catarina - Brasil) It is , a real bless. Thanks a lot

    Suely

  • That was quite uusual. Ive enjoyed scanning through your works. Many thanks for taking the time to produce thjem. I learn always.

    :)

  • Kazushimuraさん I spent the most relaxing 5 minutes in a long time watching your work of art. I admire how you can turn simple things in real works of art.

^^Hoping to meet you someday, Elena in Yokohama.

Ps. I want to see the orchid too. It`s my mother`s favorite flower and the national flower of my country.

  • We have many sparrows here in the northern U.S. Lovely painting of such a lively bird.

    Take care :)

  • Great as usual. You are my favorite sumi-e painter.

  • I love it! I wish i could buy something like that for my room.

  • I wish we had more sparrows around! But for some reason they vanish from our envirement :( But you are defo right: they are cute!

  • i would just love to stand in a room full of your art ♥

  • Yes Kazushimura, we found sparrows all around here in Spain. Yours is gorgeous, as all your paintings. Congratulations ;)

  • Thank you for sharing. I find it relaxing to sit and watch you create it is fun to see how much or how little is needed to capture the image.

  • thats really cute! you are very talented!

  • Fantastic work! As usual.

Could you please paint an orchid? I need to know the differences between the chinese orchid and the japanese.

    Thanks!
