Uhh, so, I'm going to try to clarify something. That's not air simply 'escaping' the body. It's a nice way to think about an animal 'moaning'. Which is essentially the same thing as air escaping the lungs and going past the vocal cords. (Not unlike speaking, no?)

It's a death moan, period, the bear was 'not' "dead on impact", it was 'dying' on impact, anything beyond that is sheer fluff to appease some sense of morality or stifle remorse. Yours or theirs. Either way, don't kid yourself.

This also goes for the comments below attempting to justify something that doesn't make any phisiological sense. The Diaphram is required to contract strongly enough to allow air to move past the vocal cords at a faster rate then sheer 'relaxation' of the air sacs to make sound. -- A dead animal can't walk, a dying animal can. A fatal wound, does not 'qualify the body as 'dead'. Death on impact would require complete shutdown of the muscular and neurological system..

Perfectly placed shot, nicely done. A patient hunter who took the best possible shot. Bear ran probably less then 30 yards no? If the bear was shot with licence and tag as part of a sustainably managed hunting system, and the meat is eaten, it's hard to argue against it. I mean a real argument, not this fluffy fuzzy crap below because in the end the life of a bear is not worth anymore then the life of a cow. I still think that the "skitishness" of deer make them more of a challange though :)

Maybe before you start making comments about the hunt you should educate yourself on hunting.. First off i shot the bear through the heart. It was dead virtually on impact. The noise you idiots think is "crying" is actually the remainder of air coming out of the lungs as the muscles relax. If you are so against hunting WTF are you doing watching this video. Go find something more useful for your time like eating your granola and saving the world...

how bad is this ... first off this just like every youtube hunting video the bear was baited... (meaning hunting next to agarbage can you fill with raw steaks is far from hunting)... plus thinking its cool when the bear is crying in pain is not what a hunter does ... a hunter kills his prey quickly, but never gloats about a shot during pain. Poor performance

Yes hunted over bait. which is legal- You must not be a hunter because if you were you would realize that the shot placement was perfect and the bear was dead within seconds. Until you know what you are talking about please keep your comments to yourself.

@RAS7311 Actually you can't really see where the arrow goes, because the bow cover it, and the bear jump away immediately. :)....but I believe you that It was the heart. Nice shot. It must be hard to shoot down from the tree when you are so excited. I have shot only polyfoam bears. :)
