Vince Gill is the Main Reason i started listening to Country Music And Kick Ass Guitar Solo's like that is what turned me on to Country Guitar Players Instead of Rock 'N' Roll Rock on Vince!!!!!.
I caught Vince Gill's acoustic show in Cincinnati a couple of years ago. I knew the cat could sing and play but my Lord, what an entertainer! During the show, the audience was encouraged to shout out requests. As usual, some people don't know when to shut up but Vince took it all in stride and kept the show rollin' while keeping the audience in line...This guy is a monster talent! Just ask Mark Knopfler...He once asked Vince to join Dire Straits! Wow! That would've been killer!
You can't "rock it" if you can't "pick it". I applaude you for knowing what's good in this world, and comend you for making it an inspiration !!! Good things will come.
Thanks for the video. I am moving back to Oklahoma very soon. It's the only place in the world I can be happy. When I cross the border back into Oklahoma, I think I will get out of my truck and kiss the ground.
Couldn't agree more, Vince is one killer axeman. The tone of this solo in the Crossroads Guitar festival DVD version of the song is much fuller and richer, totally unmissable.
This is Oklahoma border line. Guitar playing like that is what makes a guitar player smile!! TASTY.. One of my all time favorite Guitar solo's. Gotta love this You Tube don't cha?!!!!

Kenny Davis was Vince Gill's first peddle steel guitarist. Kenny still plays with Vince's Original Band "Mountain Smoke".

Around 2'30" Vince looks eerily reminiscent of a slimmer Danny Gatton. Great stuff -thanks!

With all due respect, this was Vince's best band. Excellent!

ditto. He played at the MN State Fair last year and had a sax and trombone with him..sounded awful.

Great. I've first seen this thing at a DVD of Crossroads Festival. There is a slide guitar instead of fiddle, but fiddle is also good. Thanks a lot
