definatly avoid cliches and and keep realism in mind just cuz its an action movie it doesnt need ridiculous michael bay explosions to be good so many action/triller movies are done with little to no special effects and end up being better movies than the bigbuget explosionfests i mean look at how good fight club was just because of the strong character driven narritive
