Volvo is like saying drive at 120 KPH at bad weather conditions.

If a truck is ahead of you just overcome at 140 KPH , even if the road is slippery or mud . Just do it. But volvo is cool , the volvo i most like is the S80 V8 damn comfortable and relaxing. And the new 2011 for explorer and edge. Beauty by wheels. But explorer is to expensive some features like active park assist , adaptive cruise control , and keyless entry and start is only available in Limited in package that cost around 2000

I love the Volvo technology and build quality and I dont think that the Ford purchase has negatively affected their standards, but I do miss the boxy and safe 240s. I have a very nice 88' with a stick shift and I cant see replacing it with a newer model.

I wonder if this stability control system is more advanced than AdvanceTrac in my Ford Edge.. ? It works well under that same test.. just wonder if theres more gyro's or stuff like that in the XC60.

I think it has. Since ford bought volvo,volvo was so far ahead ford when it comes to saftey that ford takes technology from volvo, so i should say its the same or better in the volvo.

Let me guess, you're repeating something you heard from someone else...because what you said is not true. Although, there are examples of parts swapping between Volvo and Ford brands there is NO rebranding of a Ford as a Volvo model. Not one. BUT! There IS rebranding of a Volvo as a Ford model! Woot! Obviously you've never owned a modern Volvo. LOL!

I believe your wrong. I took the top engines for both cars compared with the curb weights(Power divided by weight). All figures are from manufactures websites.

Volvo: 281HP / 1901KG = .147

Honda: 166 HP / 1609 KG = .103

So as you can see the Volvo has a better power to weight ratio.

So go buy yourself a nice Volvo.
