There's a video on youtube where it clocks 9,7 secs, and all 4 runs well below the 10s mark.

Great video! I've been a Harley-Davidson rider/racer for a few years and the BMW S 1000 RR is something new to my racing career. I was asked to ride the BMW at the Bonneville Salt Flats on Aug. 27-Sept 1st.  I can't wait to see how fast this bike goes!! As you said this BMW is the Ultimate Riding Machine.

I'm very disappointed in Shine on the BMW running 150mph @10.01, it shows his inability to handle a stock machine like I have been telling people in Memphis. He road this stock machine like any other novice drag racer but with hella seat time on any machine. With that kind of MPH that bike should have gone mid 9's easy like it was, I wish I was the one testing it I guarantee it would have gone way down each pass. NO HATE FROM ME IF YA THINKING IT, JUST FACTS PEOPLE

with a trap speed of 150mph... that bmw should be doing low 9s with a good launch.

10.00 is doable with 140mph traps.
