que onda oie amigo tengo una duda como le haces para grabar los soinidos de la mixer a la compu (lo conectas el REC en la entrada de microfono) asi lo intente pero MUCHO RUIDO como si pusieras el micro & grabaate

@musicadelatorna esto no es un mixer, es un controlador midi. El audio que escuchas está grabado internamente en la pc (es una cualidad que tiene Ableton Live, el programa que uso).

Busca en google x-session pro y ableton live y te va a explicar todo.

@pablix809 it depends on the % you choose. if you choose 16%, it may be too sensible, kinda choppy. remember its not an analog fader (which can in theory respond continously to all values). this is digital, so it goes from 0 to 127. if you set your pitch range too high, from 0 to 1 you are going to get a big pitch boost (not a precise 0.01%). But yes, if you set it to the lowest value possible, its fine for most mixes.

@iwasborn4dying it's not 100% good if you are sending it to a high power system. For home listening the quality is fair. Anyways, the audio is being recorded within the computer with a resampling channel. You are hearing the audio with the same quality live was sending to the output.

@iwasborn4dying there's no such thing as usb to rca adaptor. It is actually an usb soundcard with rca output.Unless that soundcard is a really good one (which i don't think is the case) it's going to be worse than your built in scard.

If you want something better than your onboard card, go for an external card like m-audio, lexicon, or native instruments, just to name some.

@sheunghyun no you don't it comes with a headphone splitter, which it splits your L and R audio and makes it so that you have your speakers hooked up to one and your headphones in the other.

I'm thinking of buying one of these mixers, especially after checking out this vid, as I've got Traktor set up with my decks & have tried out some USB mixers with jog shuttles and platters, but would like a simple mixer with sliders, pitch adjust buttons & eq plus something cost effective (just incase I want to go for something more involved later) to take on the go without having to lug decks around. @ljmp030882 ojo que no podes guardar el preset en un archivo a parte e importarlo. lo que tenes que hacer es mapear en el momento lo que queres usar (con ctrl m) y guardar el proyecto. ese "mapeo" midi no se puede exportar ni nada, asi que no queda otra que mapear para cada nuevo set que hagas

absolutamente si. Cualquier programa que tenga MIDI learn puede reconocer la x-session, ya que es un controlador midi comun

and yes, i only mix tracks (literally), without worrying about sync'ing them, thats why the cdjs are missing.

Thats why i use ableton live and or traktor pro (with auto sync)

its not the controller who responds but your computer. If its fast enough (cpu-wise) and you are using good (read fast) audio drivers (ASIO for example) then its delay is going to be less than 10ms.

Sup. If you use a program like Ableton live, you can load beats, clips, loops or samples into it and use the midi buttons to trigger them and in Ableton it automatically syncs them with the beat. oh yeah, and you line up your set list so you do know what you'll be playing next =] I guess....

Tiene latencia el equipo? EL otro día usé un beringher y tiene mucha latencia, los faders tardan en sacar la señal, me quiero comprar un controlador pero quiero uno que tenga la misma respuesta que un mixer.

Ableton Live.

La latencia no es del equipo, ni de la x-session ni de la behringer. Es la pc la que genera la latencia para procesar la señal.

Con una buena placa de sonido y un procesador poderoso, podes llegar a tener 4ms de latencia lo cual es imperceptible.

Lo mismo para cualquier controlador

No. No sound goes in, out, or around the X-Session. Think of it as a joystick for DJs.

You will need a new sound card with multiple outputs. Personally, I'm saving up for a Presonus Firebox. Look for Ean Golden's video where he compares a bunch of sound cards.

I've been trying to get a couple things working with Live 7 and the X Session Pro.

1. The EQ values arent synced with the interface. When I set the knob to 0db on the interface, it moves to about 12 db in Ableton.

2. When I do a mapping with the crossfader.. it gets inverted. I tried changing the Takeover option but that didnt help.

Any suggestions?

both the x-ses and live are working perfectly.

1. the knobs send absolute position data, so those 0db has nothing to do with the x-session. if you put the knobs at 12 0'clock, in live the knob 'd be at 12 0'clock as well. the problem is that the eq3 sucks (but i use it anyways). that eq hasn't 0db at 12 0'clock, its about 3 o'clock, so you need to rotate the knob in the x-session to that angle.

you can alternatively use eq 8 that has 0db at 12 o'clock (but it hasnt -infdb so i dont like it)

if you need to completely cut the freq you'll need eq3 or another plug in. the problem is that eq3 slightly distorts the signal even with everything at 0db (anyways it's not very noticeable).

2. in the left side of the midi mappings find the min and max amounts and exchange them, so min value goes to max and vice versa.

using it as a crossfader to fade tracks no, maybe coz i dont use it in live. when i use the xfader in vdj it works great.

in live i use it to control the cutoff freq of the whitenoise (i trigger a note with the laptop kboard and then adjust the freq)

I put the "Utility" Audio Effect to the right of your "EQ Three", then set it's Gain to +14db. Then I Group the EQ Three with the Utility, this isn't necersary, I just do it to make the interface neater, so I know why the Utility is there. (I have a bad memory)

esto es un controlador midi, no un mixer. el monitoreo lo tenes q hacer por otra parte.

fijate si cuando abris el ableton o el programa que uses si en la configuracion de las salidas te aparecen mas de 1. en tal caso vas a poder monitorear con tu placa. pero acordate que este controlador no sirve para monitorear. la de behringer si, la bcd creo.

if you want more knobs, i recommend you to buy a Behringer BCR2000. It's a excellent midi controller, and it's also cheap;)

if you want to mix something, grab out one of these.

but if you just want to take control of synth's parameters, ill suggest a Novation Remote Zero SL.

Its far away superior for synths and effects control, specially with the "automap2" function.

costs three times the x-session pro but you will save up much more time when mapping the midi controls.

Yeah, I really like that thing and was looking at it for a while. It's pretty expensive, but does look worth it for the ease of use. I'm all about making things easier for me to work. What do you think about the behringer unit Cubik was talking about though? It's loaded with knobs for lots of controll. Thanks for the response man. Again, great minimal set.

if you mean the BRC2000, i think its cool. lots of knobs, and you can automate them, because them are infinite knobs with a led that shows the position (good idea to replace mecanic knobs).

the only thing that disappoints me is the imposible-to-remember position of the knobs.

unless you make a template by your own with a piece of paper, you will mess up with so many unnamed knobs.

the novation bla bla has a display with the name of the parameters! and costs 300 USD.

nono, no estan al mango y no son "pitches". eso es en template para torQ. yo aca uso los canales q vendrian a ser del pitch como canales de audio del ableton, como si fueran un canalsito mas, para mezclar asi a 4 canales.

hear your tunes a couple of times, set warps in specific locations of the track (like "start the other track here" marks), and your ready to go with your mix with no headphones.

anyways i do not recommend this as you may want to adjust the eq a bit before throwing the next loop
