Yea..E.Howard Hunt did name Harvey in his confession tape about the JFK killing which they code named "the big event"...which also included David Morales, Frank Sturgis and some of the watergate crowd. Hunt didn't want anything to do with the operation because he thought that Harvey was "an alcoholic lunatic". He said that he was a "benchwarmer" in the operation because Hunt thought that they had enough people involved and didn't need him. Plus, he didn't want anything to do with Harvey.

@BlackieGirl Angleton was 'obere kenntnis' - he was aware of the 'big event' but he didn't directly sully himself in the affair - too much going on w/ the soviets to be deterred by a little thing like a domestic coup-d'etat (with the exception, that is, of the post-hit Mary/Cord Meyer break-in, as reported by Ben Bradlee). So I'm inclined to believe it was David Morales who actually rubbed King out, but direct by who? (whom? I never get that right >.<).

The business of intelligence gathering is a shady business and you don't always deal with people who are upstanding citizens. It is easy to take parts from this show and mix them up to present a case that hints he had something to do with Kennedy's assassination. As for Oswald it is generally agreed that he was far to unstable to be used as an agent and I think both KGB and CIA would have agreed to this fact.

I think we can now pretty well round up the fringe crew within CIA at the time they agreed to act. The basic Angelton outfit. Harvey, Morales, Phillips, and Hunt being the lesser of the cowboy mind set. I may be leaving out a few. They had their standard compartmentalized roll. The CIA and the FBI put out dozens of photos stating they were all LHO only some of them dont even look like him. Remember when they opened his grave back in 79 and found somebody had beat them to it? The funeral director said the head that was in the casket was not LHO because it had no cranial scar where the brain was examined during autopsy. He personally had been present at the autopsy. His name was Paul Grudy (sp?), from the Ryan Funeral Home in Dallas. He witnessed alot of stuff.

On the Nixon Whitehouse tapes, the term Bay of Pigs was code for the Kennedy assassination. That term comes up alot on those tapes. Listen to LBJ's tapes too. He manipulated the Warren Commission like they were his puppets. he strongarmed most of them into being on the commission, many of them wanted nothing to do with it because they didn't trust him.

When you listen to the interview with Bobby Kennedy here, this is exactly why JFK refused the air cover in Cuba, he knew the CIA was totally rogue, they were conducting their own war completely apart from orders of the Commander in Chief. We came closer to a global nuclear meltdown in October of 1962 than at any other time in history. And it was our own people who almost made it happen.
