I don't know how, but I made one with 4 points instead of 5... :D I have made 4 of these models a while ago, 3 small and 1 medium size. Must be how I assembled it.

Here's a list of things you can make with the pieces in this video:

1 Piece, 2 sides: Paper Football

3 Pieces, 6 sides: Diamond

6 Pieces, 6 sides: Cube

12 Pieces, 24 sides: Icosikaitera

30 Pieces, 60 sides: Hexacontagon

esse kusudama é muito lindo! montei o meu usando peças de três cores diferentes, mas não consegui distribuí-las bem: as duas últimas pontas ficaram bicolores apenas. você poderia dizer quantas cores usou nesse e como as distribuiu?! muito obrigada! :)

if instead of doing 5 points, could 6 be done? there for making 180 sides i believe...

@whicketywack Nope, with 6 points the model will not close (it'll get plane), what you can do is to assemble 5 of those 6 point models (so, the middle will have 5 points) like in a soccer ball. Dunno how many pieces will be needed though.

@tadashimori see I started with the 4 points. then moved on to make the 5 pointer. i will now be making the 6 point one (and will film it).

So I should make a 6 point figure, then make 5 of those 6 point figures and attach them all together? if thats true It will take an even 100 pieces... maybe I should get started...

It's called a stellated icosahedron. The 12 piece one is an octahedron. Your model fits together very nicely. :)

@tadashimori A diferença está no formato. Eu fiz um Kusudama Icosahedron com 30 peças e o formato ficou diferente da de 32. A que tem 32 é mais redonda. :)
