  • the Flathead Lake that lies on the Great Salish and Kootenai nations. dont forget that. you european settlers are always forgetting that the lake lies in a nation within a nation.

  • Cryptozoology novel about two boys who find something strange on the beach one night see video book trailer

  • Really! How dumb do they think we r?

  • There is a rumor, possibly just an urban legend, as I can't find anything about it, that somebody came to the lake and went down with a camera in a one man sub, and when he resurfaced, he packed his sub and video equipment up and said he would never come back to this lake. I wish that A: I could take my own personal sub down to check things out, and B: I could see what the guy had possibly seen. Probably either Flathead Nessie or bodies from all the downed boats and a few planes....

  • @wanglemachine Thats actually a famous story about Lake Tahoe in California of mumified bodies at the bottom of the lake since it is so cold. It turned out to be not true

  • I appreciate your in depth response. What I normally try do is provide correct information. If you live in the Flathead, did you know that FLATHEAD LAKE The Documentary is available at the local IGA Grocery store, ELECTRIC AVE GIFTS, BIG FORK DRUG, AND THE LIBRARY. PICK ONE UP ONE. I SPENT 11 months on research, filming and editing of the production. It has lots of historical facts about the Flathead Lake and Valley also some footage from Polson. Thanks for your insight. Enjoy, Gary

  • WRONG! 28 miles long, not 28. Also, did he call that Antelope a Speed Goat?

  • @LoquaciousGloze Wrong I received bad information from the MONTANA FISH AND GAME PARKS DEPT. Back when this was filmed they had a pamphlet, brochure out that said the lake was 38 miles long. A few years later I noticed a new brochure with a different distance. I called the BIG CHEESE OF SURVEYING and he said;"Oh, their was a typo in the old brochure. GREAT! I continued to research by Satellite and geo maps. Discovered that the distance from the Kerr Dam to the town above Holt was 35 miles.

  • @LoquaciousGloze In regards to the lake length, I was merely trying to inform anybody that doesn't know of the correct length. FWP needs to get their info straight, and Kerr Dam shouldn't factor into the measurement as anything south of the bridge in Polson MT is considered river, and regardless of steamboat routes the northern border of the lake is where the measurement ought to stop, not farther up the river. Either way, not your fault, just trying to provide correct information!!!

  • @wanglemachine NOT WRONG JUST MISINFORMED BY THE MONTANA FISH GAME AND WILDLIFE PARKS DEPT. I have the old brochure for evidence. Plus they are wrong if you count how far up Flathead Lake the steamships paddled to deliver goods. More like 35 miles. But if you doubt this look up the towns above Holt.

  • @wanglemachine IF you live in Montana you know we call the Antelopes SPEED GOATS out of affection because of how fast they are. If you want the real facts they are NOT Antelope but Pronghorns. Antelope are in Africa......So, there you have it Mr. Smarty Pants!!!!!!

  • @LoquaciousGloze And I Do live right here in the surrounding area of Flathead Lake, and while I know that it is factually "Pronghorn" I can attest to the fact that I have NEVER heard the term "Speed Goat" (though I think it's name ought to be officially changed to such, sounds better) and in fact every native Montanan I have ever met from the Canadian border all the was to Yellowstone refers to these animals as "Antelope",so there you have it!

  • WRONG! 28 miles long, not 38.
