there's some crazy compression going on here. I'm not saying it;s the original recording, of course not but I don't if this guy converted the song with some crappy compression method or if it's just something with youtube compression. it is a loud song. I have to agree with you there. This really is an excellent album, far better then "The End of all Things to Come" or "Lost and Found." Those two albums were just missing something that I can't quite put my finger on.

This, however, is a very rich album that requires multiple listens just to catch all the subtleties of the music.

And I wouldn't worry too much about the cries of sellouts. If Mudvayne hadn't "soldout," we never would of had L.D.50 to begin with.

That was there initial image, it mirrored what is technically their first cd "Kill I Oughta", just it had far better lyrics and instrument progression. I wasn't saying The End of all Things was bad, just parts of it didn't work for me personally. There was definitely some interesting experimentation on that.

I will agree that lyrically, the new album is a little weak in spots, but musically it's much sharper, especially compared to Lost and Found.

I still think L.D.50 is their best work, just something about the vibe of that album that resonates with me the most.

And as to being sellouts, I refer to Hooker With a Penis by Tool. ;)
