Hi, I'm trying to find a camera like this for a pet. Would be good if there was a way to make it only record when it detects motion. Also, would be good if there was a way to select a lower video quality to get more recording time. I want to put it on my dog's collar for a day and see what she's up to when I'm away.

You can try intelspy . com and see their wide variety of cameras. I don't know about motion activation, but your dog is pretty much moving constantly anyways because of her breathing. You might as well have the camera on the entire time.

I just got mine and it's fantastic. No worries about the blinking; tiniest of blinks and hidden besides. if it really worries you, you could tape over them. resolution is great. Only thing is it says it takes photos, too. I can't figure that out, so I just video as needed. It's the perfect little camera. Copying documents covertly, extreme sports, meetings with liars, etc. Very cheap, too.

1. Is the video quality adjustable (>500 KB per minute might be ugly for 640x480, does it?)?

2. Does the cam handle at least 25 fps for smooth video?

3. I am from germany. If I order, do I have to pay customs duty?

It's too bad they couldn't put the lens on the end of the device, rather than on the front side. It'd give us more mounting options on helicopters -- and RC cars as well.
