NEVER EVER play air guitar. wen u learn to sweep u gotta build muscle memory in ur hand and by playing air guitar ur hitting random spots, therefore confusing ur hand muscles. so if u play air guitar STOP. i stopped several months ago n sweeping became sooo much easier for me now. also wen ur sweeping, always use ur guitars neck pickup. it sounds cleaner that way. good luck! :D

Like, when you are doing a Major sweep, there is that sequence of 3 notes that are on the same fret one string after another. Most people use their middle finger to finger all of the notes. That is not good.

The alternative is to NOT roll your fingers and finger ever string individually. It comes out cleaner, with less chance of all the other strings ringing out. But, since you can't handle being wrong (obviously) you stooped to the level of calling me a "smarmy cunt."

standard tuning:

hammer 13 on to 17 on the A string... 5th string

then heres were your fucked.

15 on the D then to G then to B (your gonna have to roll your finger)

then hammer 13 on to 18 on the high E

If you can sweep that consistently without rolling your finger please tell, i think alot of people would like to know.
