Ummm actually odds are a hell of a lot higher now. Oregon has earthquakes over 9.0 every 200 to 250 ears. Oregon is now at 310 years. So everyone expect an Earthquake here.

@PDtoots lol, half my family lives in oklahoma. I've lived here my whole life. People back there don't know what to say when I tell them that I live within an hour +/- drive of three potentially actve volcanoes (Hood, Jefferson, ant the three sisters).

Actually oregon gets alot of big earthquakes off the coast. And Oregon can get a major earthquake at anytime. Seismologist r thinking a 9.0 earthquake to hit off the coast and a about a 7.0 quake to hit portland soon.
you never know it could happen. oregon dosent get big ones usually. but sometimes we do. there was a 6.8 in portland in some where in the late 90's i think. im 12 by the way.
I think that a major earthquake will happen i lice here too. little earthquakes tend to cause bigger ones. with all theese little earthquakes not just off the coast can cause a really big one. i heard on the computer that theres suppose to be a 9.0 earthquake off the coast soon and that a earthquake about 7.0 in portland is suppose to happen soon.
talking to my daughter, she said the movie "free willy" awh keiko might have been his name. lol, name a whale! well they sold that home and now live in san clemente! update? lol
Keiko was his nameo. Free Willie was his stage name and the one he used when checking into the Sands in Vegas. Yep me and the K-fish go way back, hahaha. Was even there when he flew back to Iceland to retire.

I Thought the last big quake in the US was in Illinois, Of course Oregon will get quakes, it's right next the Pacific plate and if you saw the activity in the Aleutian islands you'd think any quake in the US is a truck driving by! Cheers!
