@RobotN001 yes i did - the US attack on iraq is an arrow pointing up into iraq from saudi arabia, and is accompanied by a civil war 'double arrow'; the afghan invasion arrow disappears after 2001 and is replaced by a double arrow signifying a new afghan civil war, this may have been a mistake.

i made australia independent in 1901 with the promulgation of the constitution. on this basis, maybe canada should have been independent in 1867, but the canadian process seemed more gradual to me. these cases are less clear cut than outright 'declarations of independence'.

also, egypt gained independence from britain in 1922 i think, though they were still to some extent 'occupied' by the british, and still had no control over Suez.

I think this is a very important thing you've done. A century of global history compressed into minutes makes geo-politics wiggle.
