@swmita The federal reserve created virtual money. I learned about this in economics and didn't make since but economics doesn't make since.They took the virtual money and ran it through the banks to keep them up. Then when the banks stabilized they deleted the virtual money. I agree with you that all expenditures should be questioned in this national debt crisis, but I said before the Fed lowered the interest rates to avoid a second great depression I never said they bailed out banks, you did.

@swmita I didn't say that helping the banks was the right thing to do. If those banks did collapse it would have taken the entire economy down with it. Lowering the interest rates kept the traders buying and Bernake did that because he knew that in the stock market crash the Fed back then raised the interest rates. So yes, you do owe Bernake alot.

Like I said it is very complicated but its virtual but its not real money. It doesn't effect inflation, it is just changing a number on a computer. It basically kept the banks stocks up so they wouldn't go belly up.

@landcaster11 PART SEVEN: For all the criticism Barney Frank received on housing issues he may have came close to getting it right with regards to making the Federal Reserve a more transparent entity. His legislation may have fallen short to expose the full extent of those bailouts however, compared to most everyone else he was as close as they come when making the attempt to expose what goes on behind the scenes of the Federal Reserve.

His comments about self defense reference a States defending itself, and has nothing to do with the total nonviolence of movements protesting to a State.
