  • so did death break up for chuck to form this band? or was death still going strong>

  • it will be better if yu had a fucking different singer p.s one of them looks like a chick

  • are you kidding me, the guitaring is way different, whole different style of music, this music would not sound good with death screams and growls, sorry to say. but definitly what chuck was aiming for, anybpdy who says this sounds like death is basically saying Chuck failed at what he was trying to do. which is not the case. even each individual death album was unique in it own way, just compare the riffs and style of vocals is way different. Chuckis always changing his sound, and making genres

  • Chuck................... Maestro

  • i miss Chuck.......

  • GAMATOI!!!!!!!!!!!8eoi o control denied Chuck gia panta re mounia

  • @For3verDown perimenoume to neo cd file mou!

  • As good as Death (imo), vocals lines fit wickedly with the the instruments, Which is extremely hard in extreme metal. hail Death & Control Denied.

  • i like the vocals now after listening to them a little bit and theres alot of referencing of death songs like voice of the soul in this song

  • To Address the comment that "Nobody can finish Chuck/Control Denied because he is dead......

The album is being finished early this year; ALL of Chuck's tracks and most of the others in the band were already laid and recorded. So, Chuck already finished his parts and this will be another AWESOME project by Chuck and his INCREDIBLE band mates! (Relapse Records)

    With Kind Regards,

    Beth Schuldiner

    (Chuck's sister)

  • @bethlevine1 Thanx for the info Beth.....hardly can't wait for it. It will be so awesome that 10 years after there will be new stuff.......wish he was still around!!

  • @bethlevine1 Is there a release date?!

  • @bethlevine1 Are you refer the work "When man and machine collide" ?

  • @bethlevine1 thats great news Beth .commiserations for your loss .Chuck was an inspiration and is undeniably missed by many . R.I.P. The king is dead long live the king. Love Control denied have no problem with any aspect of them.

  • Personally i think the bigger difference to death is that Control denied has much more obscure bass and drums,

weird times and stuff, but i think death is a bit more funky

  • chuck is unik

  • R.I.P. Chuck Schuldiner!

  • I still like Death better and the vocals.....chucks wrote great lyrics which i personally think are better than Tims.

  • @chorroman55 These are all Chucks lyrics as well :P

  • why so much guys just compare this work with Death. It's stupid because those are two diferent projects Control Denied it's an intent to compose more melodic music, to insert much more personal lyrics and to concentrate on the guitar instead on doing two things at the same time. It's just two different things, and obviusly sounds like Death 'cause of Chuck beign the primary composer!

Oh and what the hell do you have against Tim Aymar's vocals?? he's an awesome vocal and Chuck himself choosed him

  • Its good, but nothing can beat chucks vocals

  • I also have a suspicion that he does back up vocals here or there. Man i love this song.

"If I was paid for disappointments I would be a wealthy man"

    Brutal ass lyrics lol

  • @MrEmpsi Im pretty sure of that too.

  • Fuck I love this , Chuck U are amazing , I miss U ....

  • lol i love this cept for the vocals, and to be honest the vocalist tim amayar sounds in a slight way like james hetfeild... i dont know....just saying

  • I think the Vocs. Kick Ass!! Killer Disc!

  • thank you man chuck is a pure hearted man

  • ''Believe'' from A Moment Of Clarity (demo) 1997 is also great! sounds less clear and older

  • awesome tribute!!!!\m/

  • R.I.P. Chuck!!!! God rest his soul. The Godfather of Death Metal and one of the most amazing guitarists ever!

  • @Crimsonblade119 agree and one of the most amazing personalities

  • chuck is not singing the singer name is

    Tim Aymar

  • haha i really dont know what the point of this project was. it sounds exactly like death with different vocals, and personally i prefer the harsh vocals over this. still pretty good music though.

  • simple...the point was that Chuck didn't want to do vocals anymore...therefore he started Control Denied besides Death....

  • @HauntingGhost chuck is backup in some songs, especially this :)

  • Ya harsh is right seriously harsh on Chucks throat , I thought the same thing when I first listend to Control Denied but I think the writing is just a bit more amazing than Death if only because Chuck (and the other musicians of course) had more creative freedom not having to make everything as heavy as possible while still trying to be melodic and original .

  • @Tb0neZ5

    he sure had a reason

    maybe his tumor or something

  • Comment removed

  • Nope....Chuck wrote all lyrics and music but didn't do the vocals...Singer's name is Tim Aymar...

  • thanks dude

  • @Megamultikiller I think he does. you can hear his higher pitched voice at 057 & 430

  • Man, if someone told me that Warrel Dane did vox for these guys, I'd believe them, no questions asked.

  • it would be so awesome if warrel dane did do the vocals

  • I agree, their voices are so simmilar...;)

  • i think this is my favorite off this album. just too damn good

  • Man i hate the health care system. If there is someone whos deserves to live, its chuck!!! IDk anything about it but i know something could have been done to save his life, regardless of money. im at least greatful to have heard this music.

  • When they say "Let the voice of the soul be free" are they referencing that to the song "Voice of the Soul" by Death?

  • I'm pretty sure song name ''Voice of the Soul'' was taken from this song, because they recorded this song on a 1997 demo with the same lyrics.

  • Guys, does it matter? Chuck is dead (it's so fuckin bad), and noone from Control Denied's squad will continue his work. He was only person that could do it

  • actually , the new control denied album is coming out this year may 13 , chuck will be on it , and accordign to chuck;s sister a bunch of death songs that werent released got found too

  • Fuck, i have to buy it. I'm afraid in Poland in my city it won't be possibile.

  • nahh dude ull be bale to get it just get it off of ebay after it comes out , i know for a fact you wil lbe able too , good luck :)

  • they where in his home studio or somthing? and finnaly able to be published after all the politics about who owns what i guess.

  • yeah man , umm i think so

  • 'voice of the soul' is an instrumental...

  • RIP Chuck

  • fucking amazing T_T

  • Which Albums did richard christy play on????

  • i think he played on all their albums... :| not sure though, cause his drumming style is unmistakable...

  • He played on both Control Denied albums and the last Death album.

  • And the Death album Human...

  • No, that was Sean Reinert. Christy took over ofter Gene Hoglan left.

  • Oh damn lookin at the liner notes ur right....where the hell did Sean Reinert go? Cynic?

Speaking of which, where did Terry Butler and Bill Andrews go?

  • You would have to go to the Wikipedia page - Chuck had some massive fallling outs with a lot of the former band members. Andrews and Butler in particular.

  • Um Chuck kicked em out or they left either way only a few dudes were ever in Death for more than 1 album thats just Chucks luck I guess.

  • Reinert is juggling Gordian Knot and Cynic, and my favorite of the death drummers.

Bill Andrews is more then likely with people who you'll never hear of.

  • sound of perserverance , the fragile art of existence , and the new control denied album coming out called " when man and maching collide "

  • Thanx for postimg...Chucks music truly is legendary...Just listen!

  • The singer reminds me of Warrel Dane from Nevermore

  • haha i was waiting for someone to think the same as me. \m/

  • not for nothing chuck first wants to hire warrel Dane!

  • Who knows how big he would be if he's still here?

  • sounds like death bit new lyrics and vocals

  • It is dude the exact same dudes (some would argue the best of ALL DEATH lineups) with a new singer but i wouldnt be surprized if Chuck wrote all the lyrics .

  • Chuck did all the writing. Instruments and lyrics.

  • no dur, thats y this bands is worth 5/5 stars

  • there's no looking down when you believe!

  • In my opinion the greatest band in the world ...i wish chuck was still with us :(

  • dude, this is gunna take a while to get used to. Chucks playing is just too fucking heavy for anything except his own scream...then again this guy does a pretty good job, I dunno maybe my ears are still in "Death mode" xD

  • You're just now listening to this? Dude where have you been? lol It's all good though. Enjoy the music of the man Chuck.

  • *.*

  • I LOVE the vocals!!!

  • The intro sounds abit like Misanthrope.

  • So...fucking...beautiful.

    Thank you Chuck.

  • Sounds so much like Death, not as brutal as Death perhaps. Awesome album anyways.

Btw what really happened to the second album of Control Denied? As a huge fan of Chuck I'd love to find it.

  • it was never released due to legal complications, although they are trying. they put out some of the tracks without vocals. i think its on the cd "zero tolerance" along with some pre-scream bloody gore demos.

  • Sweet! I gotta go hear it!

  • Thanks for lettin' us know! You made my fucken' day man!

  • so this was after death broke up sounds like death but im sure others mentioned this not to crazy bout the vocals

  • The music is good. Sounds like Death, but I'm not crazy about the vocals. Sounds a bit like Dio or a bit 80's kindof.

  • I had to get used to the vocal also...and it took a while yet later on it felt in place

  • @somor98 what the fuck is wrong with DIo's vocals?

  • @somor98 To me, Tim Aymar sounds like what Jack Black would if he could actually take himself seriously.

  • Chuck was the star in this band!! Without him this was a regular band!

  • welll there were Richard Christy and Steve di Giorgio... not properly regular musician......

  • seriously an all star line up, almost like the symbolic era. chucks fuckin brazy

  • great band ;(

  • I beleive...

  • Were Schuldiner and Hamm lead/rhythm or dual lead?

  • Mostly Chuck played the leading/solo parts, occasionally they played dual lead,if you watch the dvd live in LA,you'll see that Chuck played most of the solo's.(at least as far as I know)

  • He's with God now...

  • no he IS a god and he just went home

  • awsome response.

  • please make more Control Denied videos

  • In a few days I might will....

  • this is some of the most unqiue sounding metal out there!

  • It sure is,Chuck was a genius and left us a very precious legacy.
