:) looks just like my sheltie Archie when he was a puppy, i don't know why everyone complains about grooming my dog never gets mats, doesn't shed as much as my short haired taby cat, and i like never have to brush him.

Shelties are by far the best dogs ever. <3 Pros: They are extremely smart, loving, playful, sweet, and friendly (if you socialize them). Cons: They are herding dogs, so they do bark and nip at your heels quite a bit. They take AT LEAST weekly grooming. (Brushing, clipping their nails, etc.)

Other: Make sure you get one from a reputable breeder and when you visit, watch how the mother behaves. Dogs often mimic their mother.

@MeJeepFreak80 My sheltie used to always bark, just correct them when they bark. Possibly make a sound they don't like. Then when they stop barking say Shh or Quiet then reward them. It'll help to keep them quiet :3

Oh how adorable. such a sweet face. They are so attentive and can be silly at the same time. My boys are grown, Nothing like having a baby in the house. Mine are 7 and the other is going on 4 in days. It just seems like yesterday they were your pups age. So innocent and so loving and protective. I don't know about you but they become a part of your heart forever. Never regret a moment with them or any other fur baby I have had over the years. They give so much as ask for so little in return ;)

My good old Sparky died on yeaterday. He wasn't eating for about a week. Something was wrong with his stomach. I remember when he was a puppy about 9 years ago. It's a shame he didn't last longer, I've had him for a whole nine years. Such a good, quiet dog.
