Lol:) you guys are such whimps...my friends in Europe tow car platforms (with cars on them, of course) all the time with a 1991 Ford Sierra 2.3 turbo diesel (4 cylinder). The "tow rig" still works and they never had a problem, it's about driving and having enough torque. I frequently tow 5000 punds with my 1997 Chevy Astro AWD. The trailer in the video is not quite heavy...
@GTFORDMAN this week i have been towing a 450 gallon water waggon at work and it weighs around 5,000 pounds. The jeep does great with it behind me, gets up to 55-60 easy!
So I'm guessing yours is an '04? Wasn't that the only year the Wrangler Unlimited came with the 4.0? After that, they had the 3.7 paired with a 6-speed.
@Sarcasticscum Dont worry about offending me i like that im getting alot of comments on my video! =p But double check to make sure his jeep is a Wrangler not a Liberty...the Liberty has a 3.7 V6 while the wrangler has a 4.0 inline 6.
Yeah, his is an '06 Unlimited.. The 3.7 replaced the 4.0 in 2002, when the Liberty replaced the Cherokee... The 3.7 is a smaller I6, but still just as good.
No dude, it has 2 doors, like yours. T was searching for videos of 2-door Wrangler Unlimited Jeeps when I found yours.. It's a 2006 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited (LWB) Rubicon.. Tan with a black hard-top.. My parents bought for him after he graduated with his Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering at North Carolina State University.. It's got the factory 3.7L I-6, and a 6-speed...
@Sarcasticscum Search up that year of his wrangler on google or try the jeepforum, ill promise you that its a line 6 4.0. your gona have to trust me. =)
But can you stop it??
scrambo 6 days ago
@scrambo yes, the jeep has 4 disk brakes and ABS. Also being a smart driver and avoiding heavily travelled roads help to.

Nice ! Jeeps are the best for towing, really. Love the ability to turn off Overdrive as well, it spares my tranny.

@Sarcasticscum The wrangler unlimited LJ was made from 04-06, they all came with a 4.0 line6 standard with optional 6speed or 3speed auto.
Your thinking about the 2007-present that now run the 3.8 with 3 speed auto or the 6 speed.

@kddcc
Whattttttt. My brother's is an '06 and it has the 3.7L inline6 w/ 6-speed.. Are you sure yours a a 4.0? Please don't take offence..
