Some people accused MAHA of teaching Colloquial Arabic; only because she does no over--pronouce every word and she does not make the language more difficult than it needs to be; plus sme of them, the accusers, may be unhappy that she does not mix the Standard Arabic with the Quranic Arabic!
@12Cecy34 LOL! Well one friend of mine asked me how long I've been studying Arabic, so I told her the truth: almost 4 years. That was her answer: ana ma7alak bestaslim! ("If I were you I'd give up!") but the point is that you can reach your goals if you decide to study just 20 or 30 min per day! Hope you can make it, and thanks for your comment I really appreciate it.
I have to admit that I usually don't like the way Arabic sounds when people around me speak it, but I LOVE your pronunciation! It doesn't sound harsh at all!
@0stsee Hi Ostsee! Wow thank you for that encouraging coment! well I'm a native Spanish speaker, I don't have Arabic relatives at all, but I love the Arabic language, and I try to talk like Lebanese and Syrian people do, because there's a lot of people coming from those countries in my city! Greetings from Venezuela!
@elspacecowboy O_O Wow. I'm speechless. Actually most of the Arabic that I hear here is Levantine too, but I generally don't like the way it sounds that much. I guess it has a lot to do with the intonation and volume. Anyway, very very good job! Keep up the good work! (=
@0stsee mmm It depends my friend, even in the same country -like Lebanon or Syria- there are several accents that may sound you know "rude" or "harsh" to a foreign ear (including me of course). But I can tell you in general that their accent is beautiful. Of course I'm not saying the Levantine dialect is the BEST in the Arab world, that's not my point, but here in my city I have the opportunity to "absorb" their language as they speak on the street. Honestly the Standard Arabic is not spoken..
you're right. i don't think any of the people i know here speak standard arabic either. although just a couple of days ago my friend from israel whose mother tongue is arabic spoke with an iraqi in my presence and afterwards he said that he needed to adjust to the iraqi's accent. i also noticed pretty quickly that the iraqi had a different accent. maybe he was speaking standard arabic because he pronounced ق as such.
@0stsee I can see you really know about that topic! Even in Lebanon and Syria there are places where people use that letter "qof" but in colloquial Arabic! So I guess the Iraqui was talking in his dialect but pronouncing letter "qof". What's your native tongue by the way?
Thanks Maha! :-D thanks for your sweet words! of course I'll need your help! I would like to make a Standard Arabic video next time! But as Saudi Arabic speaker , you can understand me 100%? because I'm using expressions that I've heard from Syrian and Lebanese people. I know in Saudi Arabia the dialect is different. Greetings from Venezuela!

Is that a Saudi accent you're having?
Are you a native speaker?
