@mujuma have u listened to show no mercy or haunting the chapel?. in my opinion those two albums started thrash and those are the only albums i listen to frm slayer. but with every thrash band i only like there first couple albums because they all started with shitty quality and bad ass snare drums and they didnt overuse the double bass thats true thrash to me. after that everyone just gets to carried away

@santosj11 Yes, I have Show no Mercy and I've heard a few off of Haunting the Chapel. I only really got into one song off Show no Mercy, Black Magic (no suprise there?).

I'm just more into Overkill, its my kind of Thrash. Though I enjoy the more heavier side aswell, like Kreator, Morbid Saint, Leviathan and others I cbf naming.

Oddly enough, my favourite Bands are Pink Floyd and Cynic.

If Slayer had been from Germany, they would be called Kreator! Listening to the two bands, you can really tell they were both heavily influenced by Venom. Long live true metal!

@mharris802000 Don't take this wrong...it is not just you. Every time I watch Kreator someone finds a way to compare them to Slayer. There is one similarity and that is that they play thrash metal. While I like Slayer, nothing they have ever done and probably ever will do will ever compete with Kreator. When you compare their "thrash", there really is no comparison. Kreator is better in every facet of musicianship, especially songwriting. It is just my opinion, of course. Long live true metal!

I love having Ventor in the band...but I'd like him to stay on the drums. That's where he rules and belongs. Lot's of people say they don't like Mille's vocals...I think that his vocals are very unique and are what makes the songs as great as they are.
