I live in La Habra, and my best guy friend is Gay. If i was old enough to vote, I would've voted No on Prop 8. I just can't believe people are stupid enough to think people were born that way. I just can't believe it. My gay friend gets picked on CONSTANTLY because his voice is "higher" than what a regular boy's voice should sound like- And I constantly have to scare away the idiot thats messing with him. it just makes me so angry, even though I know there's not much I can do to help :(

I think what happens in the courts will be a true test of whether the checks and balances in our legal system truly stand up to today's challenges. Society shouldn't have to wait for uneducated, bigoted people to die off for there to be equality under the law. Let's hope for the best that prop 8 will be overturned!

La Habra is mostly conservative. I went to visit my mom, who lives in La Habra and is where I went to High School, and I noticed over tons of Yes on 8 banners at houses and almost every street corners. When I heard about a rally in La Habra, I was initially very surprised and glad that the turn out for NO on 8 was well over 150 people. I heard it grew even more into the evening. There was a lot more honks & supportive cheers than I anticipated. Out of the people that did respond it was 50/50.

We were there standing on the N/E corner with all of our kids...our neighbors and both of our moms. Absolutely amazing video...thank you for that!! Also a BIG THANK YOU TO THE WOMAN IN THE SILVER PT CRUISER! She was at the rally at CSU Fullerton last week and drove up and down the street rooting us on. The numbers almost doubled from that shortly after this video was taken and stayed strong until around 10pm. The rally started at 11am and continued steadily until about 11pm (TWELVE HOURS!) before it started to finally die down a bit. Me and a few others were there until 1AM!!!!
